Peacocks POV
I was confused. These men had taken all of us, and we were all confused. Alright, let me back up a little. I was sitting in my house singing, and thinking about going on a singing competition show. I'm guessing that happened to all of us. Hippo, Monster, Deer, Unicorn, Lion and I.
A man walked in. Wait, was that- IT WAS NICK CANNON!
"Are you here to save us, Lord Savior Nick?" I asked quickly.
"Um... no? I'm here to tell you what this is all about. So, our Men In Black took you from your houses... and you were all thinking about going on a singing show... so we took you to one.
"Hold on" exclaimed Lion, "I get to prove to the world that I can sing? This is what I've been trying to do for so long, and I get to do it now!"
"I- I really need this" said Monster, "What do we do?
Nick explained that they would go in match-ups. Lion Vs Deer, Unicorn Vs Monster, and Hippo Vs Me, Peacock. And they had two weeks to practice. And then they would perform. In front of a bunch of people. And someone would be eliminated. Oof...
I decided to sing "The Greatest Show" from the Greatest Showman. I practiced and practiced. Lion walked in.
"Wow. That was... a great performance. I mean you're, like really good at singing."
"Um... thanks. I think that you're good too." I replied.
Suddenly, the intercom said "FIVE MINUTES TO SHOWTIME. I REPEAT, FIVE MINUTES TO SHOWTIME!"
"Go gettem' Peacock." Lion said.
I performed first. I was so nervous. I didn't know how good Hippo could sing, so I didn't know if I would win or not, and I didn't want to go home first, so-
"Hey, man," I jumped. It was Monster. "You got this. Break a leg, but don't get hurt."
"I'll try" I said while chuckling.
I went on to the stage. Being the first performer of the whole show was very, very hard. The audience seemed to like me though. The panelists were just rattling off so many legendary names that I didn't deserve. Then, Hippo performed. I started to realize what I was up against. This guy was AWESOME!
When it was voting time, I genuinely thought I was going to lose. But I didn't. So I knew I was safe for one episode, but, who knew if I would make it past that? I sat in my dressing room wondering what my next song would be, and then Lion walked in again. She said, "Hey what's up, Peacock? I won against Deer, and Unicorn won against Monster."
"And you want me to go out there and see someone get unmasked?" I asked her. "I'll betcha it's Deer."
"Well, we don't know yet, so let's go see." she insisted.
Nick Cannon was shouting, "AND THE FIRST UNMASKED SINGER... IS... the Hippo"
The audience groaned. So did Peacock. "What?" Peacock yelled, "Bu- But the Hippo was so awesome..."
"Well," said the Lion, "clearly not good enough for the audience."
"And that means the rest of you get to perform in the next episode. Head on back and practice. Now Hippo, we are so sorry to see you go, but we are excited to see who you really are. Take it off! Take it off!"
The Hippo seemed to be struggling. Was he faking it? Was it that hard?
"Take it off! Take it off!"
"I KNEW IT!!!" Nick shouted, " ANTONIO BROWN FROM THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!"
"CONGRADULATIONS TO LION, DEER, MONSTER, UNICORN, AND PEACOCK! YOU WILL GET TO SING ANOTHER DAY! BUT FOR NOW, GIVE IT UP FOR ANTONIO BROWN!"
