Colourful star

"Heyyy! Star you coming!" Marco cheered happily walking into his girlfriend's house. They had made plans to head to a pride march by 3pm and meet u with their friends. Except they were a bit behind schedule.
It only got worse when he walked in, smiling only to see his girlfriend sit on the ground looking tearful as she was trying to paint a flag on her face. He froze up before slowly sitting down next to Star.
He wiped away he tears making her sniffle before taking the paint from her. Her tears rolled down her cheeks smudging her paint job. She sniffled looking up at him as he just kissed her forehead. He held her hands wiping away her tears.
"Do you wanna talk about why you're crying?" He asks slowly. Star nodded before lunging at Marco. She buried her face in his shoulder. Marco just sighed happily rubbing her back for a while just waiting for her to calm down.
Macro waited for who knows how long. He knew it was a while but, to be honest he could wait forever, walk for Star. He just smiled holding her close once her sniffles died down. He listened to her nervous sniffles before looking at her.
Her big blue eyes met his brown ones showing they were stained red from tears. Marco sighed kissing her forehead and wiping away some of the messy face paint. She sniffled more looking away.
"I...I told my mom I was pansexual and she....she didn't accept it." Star whispered looking pale.
"What? Did she kick you out or something?" Marco panicked wondering if he should get a extra bedroom ready for her to stay in. Star sniffled shaking her head.
"No...she just said it was a phase and I would get over it....i don't know why but, that hurt me more than ever...and I just can't stop crying over it now." Star sniffled. Marco wiped away a few more tears to keep her calm.
"Hey, hey don't mind her. People are ignorant sometimes about things they don't understand. Just because your mom doesn't understand it, then I am willing to give you the support she was supposed to give you." Marco smiled running his hands through his girlfriends hair. Star just smiled up at him.
"What did I do to deserve a supportive boyfriend like you?" Star asks happily.
"Well you did save multiple dimensions from destruction multiple times and saved so many peoples lives. Plus you know you also Helped the rightful royal family reclaim their throne...you do a lot for other people and for now let me do something for you as payment for being brave enough to say your sexuality aloud." He smiled. Star just smiled rubbing his eyes for a second again.
"I would love that." Star smiled before kissing her boyfriend who just smile into the kiss.
"Hey, calm down and I can try to paint the pansexual flag on your face." He smirked. Star chuckled.
"Last time you tried to draw that flag you thought green was in it. You sure you can handle it?" Star chuckled. Marco nodded.
"Hey if I can handle fighting monsters, I can handle drawing something on my girlfriend."
And with that Marco began trying to paint the pansexual flag on his girlfriend's face. In the end he drew the flag right in a heart shape on both cheeks. Plus he did her girlfriend's makeup on the rest of her face. It actually looked pretty good in the end. In fact Marco would say she was the prettiest girl at the whole festival. A few other people said so as well.
That is until it started to rain. Once it did, Star's makeup began running. There were smears all over her face in every colour by the time they found cover. They just smiled hiding under an umbrella with their friends for cover when it began to down pour. Marco made eye contact with her only for a single moment and then she burst out laughing loudly. As she laughed a few people started to panic over her messy makeup.
Yet, all Marco could think of was how beautiful she always looked no matter what happened to her.
