You had awoken to a loud boom to find Toby missing. You, still in pajamas, ran out to finding the surrounding forest on fire. Masky was hurt, coughing and stumbling towards you. He tried ushering you back in, but you wouldn't budge. Everything was covered in a thick grey smoke, you could see the bodies of multiple people, alive or dead, you weren't sure. You were shocked, but as you caught sight of one of Toby's hatchets, you started moving. You could faintly see his silhouette fighting something unseen, but before you could walk further, an arm wrapped around your waist, picking you up. "We need to go, idiot! Toby can handle himself, we need to leave before he hurts you!"
"Masky, what-" Masky hushed you, not letting you say anything else. He ran to the mansion, grabbing a backpack and shoving supplies in it. Hoodie rushes down from somewhere, another bag in his hands. They share a nod as Masky picks you up, swinging you over his shoulder again. He follows Hoodie into the basement and head into a maze-like room. They navigate it quickly and fluently, then head down the large dark corridors of the underground base. Masky sets you down as Hoodie pulls your shoes from the bag, tossing them to you. You put them on before questioning, "What happened? Why'd we leave everyone like that?"
"We couldn't fight, Demons can't be killed by knives or guns. Toby told me to get you out of there and protect you. I... He'll be fine, for now, just focus on yourself." Masky answers, pulling out a flashlight. He takes the lead, Hoodie following, and you hesitating but following as well, biding Toby good luck. It was quiet, the atmosphere seemed to hold your collective sorrow. It was cold down here, so you turned into your wolf form, being the normal size a wolf should be, and continuing to follow. You could see better in your wolf form, noticing the moss and dust, the cracked stone walls and the occasional mouse that would run by.
You soon noticed a few words scratched into the wall. It was a smiley face with the words "Toby Wuz Hur" messily scratched into the old stone. You lowered your head, still sadly following the two proxies. You soon made it out, you shifting back human, noticing you were at the edge of town. Masky and hoodie took off their masks, hiding them in their bag as you three walked into town. You three made it to a gas station, entering and heading for the bathrooms.
"Here." The quiet voice of Hoodie says as he holds out the bag. "Change." You took the bag from him, walking into the bathroom to change. You finished quickly, leaving the bathroom as you shove your pajamas into a bag. Masky turns away from the ragister where he stood with a grocery bag of snacks. He motions for you two to follow as he heads out. "There's no hotel, motel, nuthin, we're going to have to move on quickly."
*Time Skip*
You and the boys had been hopping from town to town for two weeks now. Sometimes you'd get a motel, sometimes you'd end up camping in the woods. Tonight was one of the nights you would be staying in the woods. You had helped set up camp a few hours prior and were now tasked with going into town and getting something for dinner. Once you entered the gas station close by, you got some hot dogs, hot dog buns, a pack of cookies because, cookies, and some chips. You also got some bottled waters so you wouldn't be thirsty.
While the guy at the register was ringing everything up, a boy, man? A very feminine looking boy with white hair walked in. Something stood out about him, you weren't sure what, but it set you off. You payed and walked out the doors, headed back to the campsite, but on your way, you saw that white haired boy again. There was a group of girls fawning over him as he flirted back, and they were right in your way. You were about to walk around them, but the boy gets tossed out in front of you, landing on his butt, holding his nose as he grunts.
You look to where he once stood to see a burly man glaring at him. He stands up, turning his head away as he brushes the dust from his pants and chuckles. You roll your eyes, not caring, and squeeze past. The entire way back you felt as though someone was following you. Once you get back, you set the food down and sit next to Masky, Hoodie soon sitting on the other side of you and pulling the food out.
"You alright?" Masky questions, letting out a puff of smoke from his Cigarette.
"Yeah, I just feel like someone's following me." You reply, looking over your shoulder. You see a flash of something white and you immediately stand up. Masky stands too, looking to where you were looking. A large, pure white cougar jumps out, its back haunched as it stares at you. Hoodie shoots at it, but as though it teleported, it was right in front of you, about to land on you.
You barely had enough time to react, dodging the attack and bumping into Masky and pushing him back. The cougar didn't hesitate to pounce again, but this time, you changed into your wolf form, biting firmly onto its neck. You withdraw in disgust, its blood tasting foul and tangy as though you had bitten straight into a rotting corpse. The cougar lets out what sounds like a laugh. You look back at it, seeing the wound where you had bitten turn black , the blue blood leaking from the wound stopping as it closed itself up.
The cougar sat back, its form morphing and twisting as it changes. It becomes a human, specifically the white haired boy you had seen earlier, only now, he had two large white horns tipped blue growing from his forehead, a white whiplike tail behind him and his legs seemed to only have become a more humanoid version of the cougars. "So you are a shifter!" He speaks up, his voice sounding young, smooth, enchanting almost. It was just now that you took a better look at him. His hair was white, but it looked as though it had a blue undertone, his eyes were two different colors, the right being blue with white lashes, the left, a deep green with flecks of brown. His skin was pale, almost white and dead looking, but somehow held so much life, and his form, he was obviously in his teens, but he had a feminine body.
You let out a low growl, warning the mysterious boy. "Who the hell are you?" Masky asks. "Oh, please excuse my rude manners," the boy stands, bowing, "I'm Yori Haru Nakamura, the son of Satan." His voice lowered to an almost seductive pur as he stood back up straight. "I am here to purge a rouge demon who has been defying my commands and has fled to this realm." He was supposedly talking to all of you, but he was only looking to you.
"So what does that have to do with us?" Masky speaks up again. Yori points to you.
"She's perful, I want her."
