Chapter 1: Raven Matthew's POV
"Cole is ready." Mrs.Johnson, Cole's superviser says briskly to me as she leads me to a meeting room with two couch sofa's facing each other. She looks at me worriedly as she leaves.
I wonder why? I ponder in my head before the door is opened rather roughly by an angry Cole Warren. Cole's eyes settle on me for what seems like a century, and it makes me feel nervous. I'm not too bad looking. I have curled black hair that is to the middle of my back with red and blue highlights. I have latino heritage so my skin is in the middle of fair and tan. I am about 5 foot and 4 inches tall. Puberty didnt do a good job on me so I was cursed with a size C/D cup chest and a medium sized butt.I have a flat stomach with kinda nice hips. I am relatively petite for being 23. My friends say I'm blessed but its not a blessing when no matter where you go or what clothes you put on, you are always getting checked out by weird men and sometimes women!
Like right now, Cole is checking out my chest and backside and I think I see lust creep its way into his eyes before he blinks and turns to Mrs. Johnson.
"This is the candidate?"
"Yes and would you stop your gawking and let me in." Mrs. Johnson says briskly as she walks into the room and waits for Cole to sit down before speaking.
"Now that we are settled, I would like you two to get to know each other for about 5 minutes and I will come back and see how things are faring." She says and hurriedly walks out the door and slams it shut.
It is awkward for a few seconds before he opens his mouth to speak.
"Why do you want to foster me?"
''Because I am at a good point in my life.....and I have always wanted to foster someone"
"Have you read my file yet?" He asks with a smirk and I can't keep a smile from inching its way onto my face.
"Yes, I have."
" And you still want to foster me? Are you crazy!'' He is laughing but I can see some sadness in the way he says it.
''Yes I must be crazy to want to adopt you, well that makes 2 crazy people,huh?" I say with a giggle to which he smiles. Suddenly the door busts open and Mrs. Johnson enters with a clipboard.
"So Cole, Do you want Ms.Matthew's to foster you?" Mrs.Johnson asks Cole. He answers without even a second to waste,
"Yes"
