Forever & Always

Chapter 1

My name is Lexie and I'm 16 years old. I grew up in mount pleasant, South Carolina. I'm 5'3 and I have long, dark midnight black hair, and sky blue eyes. I am an only child. I live with my mom and my dad. They seem very happy together. They have something very special that seems so delicate, but yet so undustructable . Its something they call love and I want it.

I never really believed love existed, until now. I've seen it, but I've never experienced it before. I think I might be falling in love with someone?

Let's just start from the beginning..

It's the middle of December and its a cold, wet, cloudy day. I walk in my first period class and I'm soaking wet from the rain. I'm not exactly looking my best at the moment, but neither is anyone else.

A handsome gentlemen walks over to me and says,

"You look awfully cold, would you like to wear my jacket?"

I hesitated to answer because I was so anxious, but finally words come out,

"That is so kind of you to offer. Yes, I would love to wear your jacket and I really appreciate you offering it to me."

He replys,

"I don't mind, honestly. You are such a beautiful young girl and I want you to stay warm."

I tried not to blush, but I couldn't help it. His words lit me up inside and got me all giddy. He knew how to put a smile on my face and make me feel safe, his name was Matthew.

Matthew has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. He has a very muscular structure and is tan. His abs could make me melt. Not only did he have a nice body, but he was the sweetest guy I've ever met. I want to get to know him better. He gave me his number, so later that night I decided to text him:

Me: hey Matthew:)

Matthew: hey Lexie:) what's up?

Me: nothing much, will you be at school tomorrow?

Matthew: yes.

Me: ok, well goodnight:)

Matthew: goodnight Lexie:))

The following morning I rushed to class trying to find Matthew and "accidentally" bump into him. There was no sign of Matthew anywhere, so I sent him a text.

Me: Where are you?

Matthew: I'm at home

Me: Why?

Matthew didn't reply to my text, but he read it. I was upset that he was ignoring me, so I had a plan to get him to talk to me. I was simply going to ask him if he wanted to hangout with me tomorrow after school. I waited for him to text me first, when suddenly my phone lit up, and it was Matthew.

Matthew: hey there beautiful.

Me: hey, I missed you today. And you really think I'm beautiful?

Matthew: of course I do. U are so beautiful. And did you really miss me? Haha:)

Me: of course I did. :)

Matthew: hahaha well I missed you too. I will see you tomorrow.

Me: promise you will be there?

Matthew: I give you my word, I promise.

Me: good:) night.

The next morning i was sitting in history class, waiting for the bell to ring. Suddenly Matthew came dashing in the classroom just as the bell rang, and took a seat right next to me. I was so excited, but at the same time I was very nervous.

A couple more weeks went by, an nothing happened, but I wanted things to move faster. I'm finally gonna ask him, and put the plan back in motion.

Me: Matthew, would you like to hangout with me this weekend?

Matthew: Lexie, I would love too:)

Me: Alright great. :)

This week flew by so fast, and before I knew it.. It was already Saturday! Me and Matthew are supposed to hangout today!! I'm so nervous, I don't know what to wear. I ransacked through my closet looking for an outfit. I had picked out a short pink and blue floral dress. I hoped that Matthew would like it.

Suddenly the door bell rang, and I knew it was Matthew. I sprinted down the stairs and opened the door, and said,

"Hey Matthew, would you look to come in?"

Matthew chuckled and said, "I would love to come in, an you look beautiful by the way."

I blushed and replied, "thank you, you look great as well".

He smiled and said, "thanks Lex, I try. "

We decided to hangout and watch tv on the couch. There was a giant space in between us, so I tried to secretly scoot closer to him. Matthew noticed what I was doing, and said,

"If you want to sit closer to me.. All you have to do ask. Haha. Don't be so nervous."

I kinda laughed and spoke,

"I'm sorry. I'm just really nervous, and I didn't know if you wanted the same thing as me."

Matthew looked puzzled,

"Well what exactly is it that you want, Lexie?"

I grinned,

"Never mind. It's not important. Forget I said anything"

Matthew seems concerned,

"Ok, I will forget only if you want me to forget?"

I hesitate and stumble over my words,

"I-I-I like you, a lot. And I don't know if you feel the same way?"

Matthew lit up with excitement,

"I've been meaning to tell you the same thing, Lex"

I was so excited. And that was the first time me and Matthew ever physically and emotionally connected. It was very exciting.

Matthew broke the silence,

"Would you like to go on date with me?"
