Chapter 2

Lexie's POV:

As much as going on date with Matthew excited me, i was a little nervous. I wanted to say yes, but a part of me was saying no. I really like Matthew, and he said he likes me back. I really dont want to mess things up with him, but i cant say yes without wondering why the other half of me says no.

I sat there in scilence and just stared at Matthew, when suddenly Matthew said,

"so, is that a no?"

i quickly responded,

"NO NO NO! I do want to go on a date with you. Sorry i was just thinking about-"

matthew looked sincere and concerned,

"thinking about what Lexie?"

i looked in his eyes, and said,

"oh its nothing.. when do you wanna have our date?'

he replied,

"is tomorrow ok?"

"yes, tomorrow is fine".

Matthew leaves about 10 minutes later. I couldnt believe i just let that happen. Tomorrow was our date...i was so nervous. I've never been on a date before, i wasn't sure what to do on a date. All i knew was that tomorrow was going to be a big day, and i needed some rest. i took a quick shower and headed to bed.

I woke up with the sunlight shinning bright in my room. The birds were chirping and the wind was blowing through my window, it was a nice relaxing breeze. I made my way downstairs to make some breakfast. I checked my phone and saw 3 text messages from Matthew.

Matthew: "Good morning Beautiful:)"

Matthew: "Are you excited for our date today?"

Matthew: "I'm very excited to see you later today:) Text me when you get up or see this. I miss you."

I read it with a huge smile on my face. i was totally blushing. I had to respond..

Lexie: "Awwh:)) Good morning. Im excited to see you too! I miss you too.. when are you coming over?"

Matthew: "Oh hey there!:) i see you read my messages!! Is it ok if im there around 1:00?"

Lexie: "Yes, that should be great.. see you soon."

Matthew came and picked me up around 1:03 and made a quick stop for some gas.

"Sorry Im late. I know i said 1:00 and i was late. You look amazing by the way."

I smirked,

"Matthew, it was 3 minutes.. dont worry about it. "

he chuckled,

"it doesnt matter.. 3 minutes or 5 hours, i was still late. and i plan on making it up to you, ok baby?"

i blushed,

"Matthew, you dont have to make anything up to me, but if you insist."

he smiled and gave me a hug.

"Where do you want to go Lex? its your choice... anywhere you want to go, and i will be there."

i grinned,

"Anywhere?"

he laughed,

"Well somewhere reasonable.."

i gazed my eyes into his, we seemed to stare into each others eyes, which seemed like hours and i enjoyed it. He was gravity holding me down to earth. He leaned in and kissed me. When his lips meant mine, it was the best feeling in the world. He pulled away for a moment to breathe and pressed his lips against mine once more.

"Lexie, i have a question?"

i was a little nervous,

"yes, whats your question".

Matthew paused before spitting out his words,

"will you- no. let me think of how to say this... would you like to go be my girlfriend, Lexie"

i looked at him, and blushed,

"I thought you would never ask."

Matthew drove me home and before i went inside, he kissed me goodbye. He got in his truck and drove away. I missed him already, but i knew i would see him at school tomorrow.
