---------Percy's POV
"Percy," she whispered.
"What's wrong?!?"
"Can I stay at your place? I- I need help." She sounded worried.
"What happened?"
"Just can I come over?"
"Yeah. Should I pick you up?"
"No. Susan will see the headlights or something. I'll walk. "
"You sure?"
"Yeah. See ya soon." She hung up.
I hope my moms okay with this.
Eh, she'll understand.

I fall back onto my bed and wait. She only lives a few blocks away, so she should be here soon.

------a few minutes later

My phone rings again.
"Hey Percy," it's annabeth. "I'm outside, are you sure it's okay? I mean I can go somewhere els-"
I cut her off. "Its fine. Promise. I'm coming open the door, stay there."
I hang up and run to the front door.

Annabeth stood there in shorts and a tank top, a giant cut on her arm and tears running down her face.
"Annabeth!" I step out and wrap my arms around her.
"Seaweed brain." she sighs.
I stay silent for a minute.
"Who did that?" I gesture to her arm.
"Susan." she whispers.
Dam Susan, I want to slap her so hard.
"Lets go inside."
She nods, shivering.

We walk back inside and go to my room, and she sits down on the edge of my bed.

-------Annabeths POV

He walked in behind me, his green eyes shining in the afternoon light shining in through the windows.
"So," he says "what happened?"
I sigh inwardly.
"Susan happened. She came home drunk, which she does a lot, but today a man was with her. Bobby and Matthew are at a friends house, so I didn't have to worry about them. I tried to go unnoticed, but that didn't work. obviously. " I paused. He looks really worried. "Anyway, this is the result."
And now he looks ready to stab something. Or someone.
"Well lets clean you up." he takes my hand and leads me to the bathroom, where I sit on the edge of the tub.

------little while later

He finished wrapping a bandage around my arm.
"You know I could do that by myself."
"Eh. I'm not so sure, wise girl."
"Oh really."
"Yes really."
"You're such a seaweed brain."
"Thank you."
I laugh slightly. "Thats not a compliment."
"So? I can still say thank you."
"Sure you can, seaweed brain."
"Thank you."
*facepalm*
-----
We walk out of the bathroom, and I sit on the bed.
"I'm gonna go tell my mom you're here..."
"Wait you didn't ask her?"
"Nope," he says with a cheesy smile and walks out of the room.
I stare at the wall, which has waves (like ocean waves) on it.
The door opens and Percy walks in.
"Umm... If you don't want to sleep in that, here's a tshirt."
He takes off his shirt and tosses it to me. I blush slightly, and then walk into the bathroom.
I pull off my tank top and slip on the gigantic shirt, which falls to mid-thigh and covers my shorts.
I walk back out and sit on the bed, where Percy is laying on his stomach, his tanned back facing me.
"So... sleeping arrangements?" he asks. "I would say we can just both sleep on the bed, but are you okay with that?"
"Sure." I lay down, my face buried in a pillow that smells like him. Ocean breeze, I guess.
I hear him get up and turn off the light, and then pull the covers over us.
"Goodnight." he says and pushes some hair behind my ear.
I smile "Goodnight,"
He leans in and kisses me gently on the lips.
He wraps his arms around me, and pulls me to his chest.
I close my eyes.
"I love you, Annabeth."

I'm too far gone to respond.
