I walk through the halls hearing snippets of conversations. "He's so hot!", "What are you doing...", "...cocaine....".  I think, wow, we have some of the weirdest people ever. And then I think,  man, I love high school.

My name is Samantha,  I'm 13 and in 7th grade. For ten years I was at the lower building,  the elementary.  All the way from my first year of preK until 6th grade.  Now I'm in the secondary building, the high school. I don't miss the class below me at all, they're  a bunch of spoiled brats, especially this girl Jaidyn, ugh. It's good to see the class ahead of us again. I was so ready to be in the high school. You have no idea. Changing  classes, more lunch options, high schoolers, sports, everything. I get to see my older friends like Shelby, Rachel, Amy, and Quinton. I get to excel with TAG programs and the support of Mrs. Richards, our TAG director.

7th grade is amazing already, but as I walk through the halls and hear the conversations of the older kids I think, that will be us someday,  Chloe, Kenzie, Tayah,  and I. Seniors walking the halls, ruling the school, living our lives. I can't wait!
