I could feel the light on my eyelids. It felt like small spiders. I opened my eyes and looked directly up into the roof. My lamps were shining, and my body shrank under the light. My muscles were sore, and I felt extremely tired. I wondered what happened to me. I tried to remember what happened that night, but I could only make out small bits. I slowly moved out of bed and when my toe tips touched the floor, they became wet. I looked down only to see a puddle of blood. I could vaguely remember something standing next to my bed and touching my cheek. For some reason I wasn't surprised, and I didn't really care either. I knew what it meant, but I couldn't believe it. It wanted me to hurt my nurse. It was the only way I could escape. I had never been out of there before; I had never seen the sky. I only read in books of how it looked. The voice became louder. It started yelling at me.

"WHY WONT YOU DO IT? YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!" it yelled.

I knocked my nurse out with a strength I didn't know I had. I took the largest piece of glass, and cut her throat, but it wasn't sharp enough to kill her. It all happened so fast. I ran...
