Charlie's Reprise

A Prologue

Picture this; A bright, beautiful landscape, filled with trees, flowers, and small majestic creatures. The sun is slowly rising on the horizon, and birds have come out to sing beautiful songs. No distractions, no crowds, no one to judge you. Just a simple, peaceful land. Sounds like a wonderful paradise, right?

Now imagine this; A large shadow emits from a strange, curious looking structure in the center of that landscape. It's a beautiful arch, wrapped with roses and vines, along with to small flames on each of the two pillars. The arch casts a curious shadow, yet still seems to illuminate the surrounding ground, caused by the two, small, black flames.

This arch is special. Just like this so-called paradise. But with every good thing, comes a secretive, twisted, hidden dark side to it. While the mystical land may seem beautiful and tame during the day, it's during nightfall when the true, disturbing horrors come out to feast and play.

Knowing this, you might have second thoughts about this paradise. But don't worry, it has it's benefits as well. Some who visit, see it as a challenge. A way to escape, and rough it out in nature. While that may be true, none have gone and lived to tell the tale, of The Constant.
