"Come on now sweet-cheeks, cant be sick of me already?"
The obnoxious winged hero tailed me throughout the halls of the hospital. His steps echoed with mine whilst the shuddering of his wings alerted that even though Ive explicitly told him to 'Go to hell...', he refuses to leave my side even when during my work hours.
"Sir, Cant your see I'm in the middle of work? I have attended more than a dozen patients and I have a dozen more to care for. please just let me do my damn job..."
He cocked a one-sided smile at me. Godamn why did Mitei allow him in here without a warrant!?
Being a doctor was hard enough, not to mention and regularly scheduled surgeon. since my family are all back home in London, I dont have much to do but care for my patients. having a quirk that allows me to manifest organs and detach them from the tendrils I spear out of my body has been highly valuable in the medical industry.
Im glad I was given an ability that can cure and save civilians lives on a daily basis knowing that crime rate and death rates have been spiking up lately due to the recent retiring of the number one hero; All Might. But, having little shits like this prick annoying me during the day just because of a silly crush he had was starting to eat away at my nerves.
"Aww, still using sir with me~? Why not just call me by my real name?" I turned around as I answered the question "I simply refuse to" my facial expression said close to nothing although my body language screamed 'murder'.
A low rumble of laughter was emitted by him which only made my blood boil further "well obviously this isnt gonna work out, is it doll? maybe I should I try something new" I growled at the idea of any new way he found at irritating me.
I entered a new room even if the walls and layout looked exactly the same as all the other ones, of course with the pro hero attached to the gliding of my white medical coat with his hands in his pockets and a nochalant expression on his face.
"Sir Kaneki, your in for a defective eye and kidney failure?" I raised my eyebrow at the black haired male that rested somewhat tensely on his bed. He looked to be more aware of the number 2 pro heroes presence than my own. It was clear my statement did not make it across to him.
"Sir..." I churned out of my throat. My defective but still usable voice box shook his gaze from hawks to me in an instant, a part of me thanked the mishap that happened with my quirk causing my voice have a deep purr to its undertone. Drops of sweat piled up on his forehead indicating his embarrassment "A-ah, yes... ma'am" He choked out his words pathetically thought I payed no mind to it.
I went on with the report of his health, relaying to him the certain drawbacks that might come with the surgery for his unhealthy eye and kidney but of course reassuring him his final state wont be at all dire after surgery.
As I went on with my patients research, a slight glance to the right gave me view to the stubborn hero who wouldn't leave my side. He didnt meet my gaze as he looked to be somewhere else entirely. His pupils so focused on one specific corner of the ceiling I wondered what was so special about it.
Never mind that, thats not important. "Is there any questions you have about the procedure, sir?" My patient clicked into reality, almost sensing the thick aura between me and Hawks as he hesitantly said "Y.. yes" I gave him an 'are you sure' look but dropped the matter thinking he simply was shocked by the overwhelming amount of information on his health records.
