Narrator's POV

Storms and whirls of dust. Uprooted trees and obliterated homes. It was chaotic. Up in the aether, a certain person was sitting on his desk, furiously typing. He wasn't just any regular mortal - he was a god. He was known by the name of Notch. With his very hands, he had shaped the vast land of Minecraftia or, to be precise, the code that it was made out of.

There were five minecraftian dimensions in total. The first one was named the Nether, meaning below or under. It was a fiery landscape, with fierce creatures and oceans of lava. It was barren. The second was the Overworld, where many civilisations thrived and lived under the rule of Notch. The people of the overworld, however, weren't safe, for at night came the monsters of their dimension.

The third of these was called the End. The strangest of creatures, endermen, lived there. They were, unwilling, under the rule of a powerful dragon who called herself the ender dragon. They could teleport but the dragon could stop them from doing so by a very strange form of telekinesis.

The fourth dimension was actually a kingdom in which resided the god Notch, his army and soldiers. The Void.  The most powerful dimension of all. It was all black and empty, and could only be reached by an extreme amount of meditation. After, you would instantly be teleported there, not that anyone would want anyway. It was just a black empty and infinite space which, if you went there, you would eternally fall into without stopping unless powers of flight and levitation were possessed by you.

The Void was always expanding, so Notch would visit often to absorb some energy to make sure that the Void didn't destroy all the other dimensions. Even he couldn't absorb all the power of the Void.

Notch's POV

I was sitting in my office, staring out of my window, looking at my army doing their daily drills when I was suddenly interrupted by my chief police inspector from the overworld. He hurriedly rushed through my door and started blabbering something about 'The Void' and 'chaotic destruction'.  "Pull yourself together and tell me what the matter is!" I said sharply.

He flinched a bit before speaking, "Sir, the Void is getting too powerful! It has expanded too much and is causing lightning strikes and storms! It is causing destruction to everyone in the overworld! This isn't okay. Every 30 months it happens and all you do is go and absorb power from it but it isn't enough. It needs to be destroyed!" It took me a while to take in all that he had said. "You know I'm not that powerful," I replied, "However, an idea has formed in my mind. Go to the overworld....."

The Void couldn't be destroyed. Even I couldn't. But it could be recreated. I sat down and concentrated and when I next opened my eyes I was in the Void. Floating, I reached forward in a swimming motion till I reached the centre. There, in the midst of all the darkness, was a white pulsating orb - the Void's heart.

I reached out to gently touch it.

Narrator's POV

Notch took a scoop out of the darkness and shaped a human. Then he took the white orb and released it into the body. The Void from around him disappeared and he fell into the nether. In front of him, an infant stood up and opened his eyes. They were pure white. "Where am I?" he said. The Son of the Void had been created.
