A Sudden Change

Over the next couple of weeks Teruteru and Nekomaru had grown to be really good friends! spending any moment they could together, but one day Nekomaru noticed something was off with Teruteru.

Teruteru had grown super quiet, He would stare at his phone as if he was waiting for something. It made Nekomaru worry about the smaller boy. He constantly tried to ask him if something was wrong but he'd always reply with, "no, im okay.." but it was obvious he wasn't. He was concerned for the chef. He never EVER was this quiet. Not knowing how to help Nekomaru just stayed by his side, anytime he could.

Hiyoko and Teruteru had gotten into a fight that day. They fought like cats and dogs. Nekomaru usually having to break them up. Today was different though, Teruteru of course was wayyy quieter than usual but Hiyoko said something that had thrown him and Teruteru off guard, "hows your Mother doing? OH WAIT. Shes in the hospital huh?"

Teruteru just, froze. Hiyoko seemed to have noticed she messed up and she apologized but Teruteru didnt seem to care he was still frozen in shock. As soon as Nekomaru tried to walk towards him, he ran off. "Teruteru, wait!" Nekomaru yelled but he had already left.

Akane was eating when she noticed the smaller boy run off. Akane being a dumbass thought he was racing and followed him. Once she had caught up to the cook they were in the courtyard. She was confused on why they were here. She just sorta stood there until she heard a sniffle come from the smaller boy. Was he crying? "Teru..? what happened..?" Akane said in a rather sympathetic tone. It seemed almost out of the blue Teruteru hugged her, his breath was shaky and he couldn't seem to say anything Akane could understand.

Nekomaru was soon to find Akane and Teruteru. Akane was awkwardly standing there as Teruteru's sobs got louder and louder. Akane looked at Nekomaru, "do you know what happened?" she asked Nekomaru worriedly. "Partially." Nekomaru Replied, "Him and Hiyoko got into a fight. Hiyoko went too far and here we are." He ran his fingers through Teruteru's hair desperately trying to get the smaller boy to calm down. He eventually got him to calm down to the point where he could speak, "Teruteru, what happened?" Nekomaru said. "m..mama.." Teruteru started, "sh..she got sick and she collasped...a..and..shes in..'da..hospital..a..and.." He burst into tears again Akane let go of him to let him get to Nekomaru.

         Nekomaru picked him up really unsure how to help him out, "shh..shhhh..its alright" Nekomaru said trying to comfort him the best he could. "here how about after school we can go get some coffee?" He looked up at Nekomaru, "..sure.." He said finally beginning to fully calm down. Nekomaru was just glad it worked, "cmon, class is about to start.."
