"YOU'RE TELLING ME TO JUST . . . GO UP TO THEM?" Amane parroted, in shock that Hanako-san would even suggest such a thing. "They're from a higher grade, just walking up to them is a bit . . . bold and dumb, don't you think?"

"Our goal here is to make you popular, Yugi," Hanako sternly told him, raising a finger to shut Amane's protests. "How can we make that happen if you won't even get out of your comfort zone? If you managed to befriend your classmates, how bad can it be?"

"Easy for you to say," Amane grumbled. Hanako just stared at him, patiently waiting for him to make a move, which caused Amane to sigh and grumble. "Fine. You are the expert here." Hanako looked away and hid the book behind her translucent body, nodding.

Amane trudged over to the group of students and immediately embarrassed himself not even a minute later. Bawling with flushed cheeks, Amane whined and whined as Hanako tried her best to comfort him, saying that it's only the first try and everything will be fine.

Somehow, Amane already doubted that.

After three more tries ( all complete utter failure, by the way ), Amane ended up in the girls' bathroom with Hanako-san once again, his hand hovering his bruised forehead ( don't ask ), staring at himself on the mirror. "This isn't working! That last one didn't even have to do anything with my abilities!" He groaned in frustration.

Hanako scratched the back of her head, feigning bashfulness. "Ehehehe . . ."

Amane scowled at her. "Don't ehehehe me! Don't you think we're beating around the bush too much? There has to be a quicker way, come on, Hanako-san. You're a freaking apparition!" His eyes sparkled again, making Hanako sweat a bit—Amane always seemed to expect Hanako is a fairy godmother who can summon a night gown with one twirl of a wand. "Well?"

"Well . . . I'm sorry Yugi. But you can't really expect so much from a newbie like me—"

"Newbie!?" Amane repeated, dumbfounded with his new information. "Are you serious? No, you're kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding, Hanako-san," he pleaded.

Hanako floated around the bathroom, her hair swaying and trailing along ( like her hitodama ) after her movements. "Well, boy, you see, I don't get called out that often, not that many can, really. It's complicated—"

"I knew there was something wrong with all those absurd operations! For a ghost you had all these day-to-day object and your methods were too pure!" Amane smacked himself, as if punishing himself for even setting those suspicions aside. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Hanako giggled and stuck her tongue out, flowers and rainbows surrounding her ( Amane didn't want know whether he imagined those or not ). "Well, I guess you can call me pure Hanako-san—"
