Jane and Elena were on one of their missions. As "lady spies", they were used to a lot by now. A little unbridleness here, some guile thrown into the mix. But, this time it's different. Their friend, Langston, had been captured by a world-class smuggler, Johnny Smith.
The girls had been tracking Johnny for a couple days now and they finally had a secure location. An abandoned rock quarry in the middle of nowhere.
Jane found a way in, that wouldn't draw attention to herself. Elena was left to fend for herself. She soon joined Jane, who signaled for her to keep quiet. She pointed to a guy just below the platform, scanning the area. Jane shot the guy with her tranquilizer dart gun.
Jane was the best spy that Elena had ever seen before. When Elena started training, she used to watch as Jane fought with ease. And there Elena was, fighting with her.
In a way, Jane was kind of like Elena's mentor. In times where Elena just wanted to relinquish her dream of becoming a spy, Jane assured her that she was amazing and that she could do it.
Jane handed the gun to Elena. Elena took it carefully. She'd only been using the gun a couple times prior to this one. Elena lined the gun up to her target, a guy that probably worked for Johnny Smith. She pulled the trigger and she was enraptured. It was a perfect shot. Elena quietly congratulated herself.
Jane spotted Langston next to a grandiose-looking machine. Johnny was next to the machine, his gaze never leaving Langston. He spoke some words, but the girls couldn't hear him.
Jane pointed down to the corner of the building, where Elena presumed Jane wanted to go. "Cover me", Jane said, jumping down off the platform. Elena followed her shortly after, not wanting Jane to go alone.
Jane wasted no time going after Johnny and his guys. Both Jane and Elena took out the guys as a pretty nice team. Before long, they were untying Langston and hurrying out of the quarry, not wanting to be seen standing over the bodies.
"This was fun, guys, same time next week?", Elena joked, breathlessly.
