The Tirade Continues

We make our way down the town blocks until we hear some rustling from nearby. Elijah nods to the direction it came from, but I motion for us to just keep going forward. We don't need any attention from the dead on us, and if it happens to come out... Then we'll take care of it. But until then, it's best if we just keep going.

We need a vehicle. It might be louder, but it's safer. We're out in the open here, at least in a truck or car we would have a little wiggle room and time to think if something happened or we got swarmed. I know where this one automobile repair/dealership is, it's only about two miles away.

"Hey Elijah," I whisper over to him, "we need to find a vehicle. There's this dealership just up the road about two miles or so. Let's go check it out." Elijah nods and we keep trudging along. It has got to be around five in the morning, but like I said, the earlier it is, the less active it is. It still feels odd though how we haven't seen any of the dead for a while now...

We reach the dealership and it looks abandoned. We have to go into the store to get the keys from behind the front counter which sounds easy, but that also means we have to awaken any of the dead that might be in there and kill them all first. Without a doubt, the second I tap on the window, a dead man crashes himself against the dirt smudged glass. We walk towards the entrance door , the dead one still gnawing at the glass, leaving a trail of blood behind him. Elijah opens the door and the thing comes stumbling out. I take my jack knife and put it through it's temple, sending it crashing down with a thud. I ring the bell to see if anymore would come out, but none did so we carefully step over the shattered glass of previous break ins and looting. We go behind the counter to find keys to a van and right before we were about to start heading out, we hear the roar of engines coming our way. Elijah starts to panic.

"Elijah! What's wrong!" I whisper urgently to him.

He looks back at me with pure terror, "I remember hearing those engines right before those men came in and killed my parents and sister!" What are we going to do? Think Nate, think... If we stay we die, but it's too late to run...

"Elijah... You said these men killed your parents and sister, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, why don't we get some revenge..." I don't know exactly how we're going to be able to do this, but we have to try. It's either them or us. I would like to think it's them, and by the sounds of it, they've done more killing than saving others. So let's get some revenge and end their tirade.
