Looking out of the window, Blair peeked at her brother and his best friend practicing with their swords. She vowed that she would one day marry Grant and had devoted her life to it. Approximately twenty one years so far.

Growing up in their London estate, Grant was their neighbor in which they resided in the richest and most prestigious neighborhood in England. Only the most noble and wealthy could afford to live around there. Being a dukes daughter it was most assuredly that they resided in the best area.

Grant was the son of a Marquess, a wealthy one at that, therefore, having kids around the same age, they grew up together. Of course, that did not include Blair. While William and Grant were always together, Blair was always chasing after them as they ran away from her. Mostly William who told Grant to follow him and leave her behind.

But from an early age, Blair had already found the love of her life and would do anything to have the life her parents did.

Her parents who had a rare marriage of love and three kids, they were completely happy. They were a rare couple that her society wasn't used to having. Blair and her brothers were a product of love and that was very uncommon, but being brought up in such an environment, Blair wanted the same thing and would settle for nothing less.

When Blair first laid eyes on Grant, she wanted that life with him. He was perfect for her she thought. Grant came from a wealthy family, and was handsome with light green eyes, brown hair, and growing up, he become even more so. Grant was six feet tall, and his aristocratic features became more defined as well as his muscular body.

He was perfect and Blair fell in love. At every chance she got, she would cling onto him. Everyone knew who she was and everyone knew that he was hers, the only problem was that Grant never once paid any mind to her. He knew she fancied him, but to him she was only his best friends kid sister.

Growing up Blair had always been spoiled and had received everything she wanted. She was the daughter of the wealthy Duke of Riverton, of course she had good standings and was always the most popular amongst the rest. No one could compete with her, she even had her own little clique that included only the best ladies in society standing.

Blair was used to Grant brushing her aside time and time again, because she always thought that he would fall to her feet one day. There was no one else that could out beat her. She was ultimately the best choice, who would dare turn her down. That was what she and everyone around her thought, until a certain uneventful day.

That day, while she was standing around talking to her three friends, she saw Grant dancing with a women. Sure he had danced with many women before, but, this one was different. Blair kept her gaze on the two as she saw the way he stared down at her with a certain sparkle in his eyes. The lady too looked at him the same way.

Blair barred her teeth against each other. She knew that look. It was the same way her parents looked at each other.

Narrowing her eyes at the two of them, Blair examined the girl with thick golden hair, glowing fair skin, and sparkling bright blue eyes. Even she had to admit the lady was quite the beauty. The girls clothes weren't anything of extravagance though. For lack of words, it was plain. The light blue fabric with few designs loudly spoke of her status, but also made her stand out against the countless of other young women at the ball with rich silk gowns. "Who is this girl?"

Eloise looked to where Blair's eyes were trained on. Her head tilted towards the side and she too narrowed her eyes at the couple. "I believe that is Baron Spencer's daughter."
