I sit in the bathroom after locking myself in. I hear my drunk boyfriend shout to me, saying he's sorry, but i'm blocking it out. Heh, can you believe it? Just two years ago he helped me off the streets after my parents kicked me out due to "Money problems" lets face it, they probably kicked me out so my brother wont have anyone distracting him during school. My mind snapped back to the present as i hear a thump on the door "Come on out Daisy~ do as i say and you wont get hurt.~" As he said this i quickly backed away from the bathroom door towards the window, he started kicking at the door, continuing to say "I wont hurt you" "I'm sorry" and a few more words that i got tired of hearing. As he managed to open the door i was opening the window, he stopped moving as soon as he saw me getting ready to jump out it "Fine. You win this time" he told me, dropping the bottle in his hand. I waited for him to leave the bathroom sense i didn't dare try to walk past him. After he left i headed down stairs, i saw him sitting in the living room It sounds like he's snoring.' I thought as i slowly walked to the front door which is right past the couch "Where are you going?" I heard him say as he sat up, i quickly replied "I'm uh... Going shopping! We need more uh..." "There's a shopping list on the fridge" he said laying back down. I nod to him as i walked to the fridge to look at the shopping list
'Eggs. Bread, Beer, Wine' i sighed as i looked at the list, judging by all the beer bottles in the trash, he finished them "I'm going now" i said as i left the house, slamming the door before he could say anything.
'After walking around town for almost two hours i realize its way past midnight, i didn't want to go back, not yet at least... I decided to go to the forest, i dunno why but... I just felt safe there, as i entered the forest i start hearing my Mother's voice say "Dont go into the forest past twelve AM." "Why?" I said out loud and in my head "There's a creature hiding in the dark." My mind snapped back to the present again as i heard movement in the trees "W-who's there?!" I asked while i wonder deeper into the forest, The forest is pitch black, with the light of the moon barely going through the leaves of the tree tops, luckily there is just enough light so i could see outlines of some things. I hear something move again, my attention going to where i heard the noise "Weird...." I said quietly, i still felt safe even though i can hear things moving I felt something touch my shoulder, as i turned around i saw a strange figure with.... Rabbit ears? I backed away from the creature, it stayed put, it's green glowing eyes shining brightly in the forest, as I stare at its eyes i start to hear an inaudible voice, yet i heard it loud and clear "Dont be afraid" i started to walk towards the creature "I wont hurt you." The creature lowered itself a bit so it could be the same size as me. "Trust me."it said, As i heard it i quickly backed away from the creature. The creatures tilts head, it's ears flopping to the side, after what felt like minutes i hear something say "I'll give you everything You've been dreaming of." I slowly start walking to is as it holds out his hand "You'll be safe under my control." I grabbed its hand before processing what it just said, as i tried to let go something happens.... I felt pain go through my entire body, but just as quickly as the pain came, it left. I felt weird... I couldn't move my body yet i was still moving.... I wasn't in control.
Pretty soon i found myself skipping back to my boyfriend's house, i hear a faint whisper say "You'll be safe." Right as i opened the door i was back in control, it took my brain time to process stuff as i felt something shatter on my head. Instantly i lose control as i hear my Boyfriend say stuff along the lines of "You're back late" or something like that, but it was the least of my worries as eerie lullaby music started to play, just as confused as i am, my Boyfriend looks around, checking everywhere he can, Rooms, Closets, and Cabinets. I make a weird laughter sound, almost.... Glitch like, my Boyfriend immediately look towards me, only to have a large shard of glass pierce his heart. I want to do something, i really do, but i just can't! It's been 30 minutes sense I murdered my Boyfriend. I feel myself starting to dance around his body, humming the same tune as the lullaby. Blood is on the floor around his body, his heart on the floor after i prided it out, the beautiful lullaby music matching with my foot steps, i can hear shouting outside and sirens, both of the sounds became unaudible to my ears as the lullaby drowns out the noises of the outside world.
( This was for a short story contest on a discord server i'm in. At first i ended with "I wasn't in control" but i really wanted to continue it. And the words the creature said is based off the song "Lily"
