Clary

I walked to the school campus with Jen. Her face was pale and she looked terrified. She was a head shorter than me. Today we wore our school clothes, black (slightly shorter than our knees) shirts and white long sleeved collared shirts tucked in and our ties slightly loosened.

The schools huge building hovered above us, students were lingering everywhere. We walked towards our lockers and picked out our English books and notepads. We had nearly every class together. Alex walked next to me, his face hovered above mine.

I noticed for the thousandth time how perfect his lips were. He held a soccer ball in one hand. His shirt wasn’t tucked in and his hair was really messed up. “Hey gorgeous,” He said with a wink.

I smirked “Prince Charming’s here,” I called out.

“Where’s mine?” Jen wailed. Eric appeared. He hovered above her with light brown hair, his eyes were dark and mysterious.

“There’s my Jen,” Eric said and kissed her.

Eric and Jen have not been dating but they were like friends who were madly in love with each other. Jen leaned on his shirt. I felt jealous again. Eric was the second, sorry I meant third hottest guy in school now. “You know we could make out more passionately than them,” Alex said.

I jabbed Alex in the stomach, feeling his six packs. He was like a brother to me, I’ve known him for as nearly as long as I’ve known Jen. Lindsay came over, her uniform was a mess, the shirt wasn’t tucked in properly and the skirt looked like it barely fit her. She pushed over some red hair away from her face.

We both had more or less identical green eyes, Jen says mines darker. She leaned down the door. “Heard the latest news?” She said, opening her Samsung phone and started texting.

“Nope,” Jen said. “Fill me in,”

Lindsay finished texting. “You know the new kid?” She asked. I felt my heart speed a bit at the thought of the new kid. She stopped and again started texting. If there was another thing I hated about Lindsay aside from her mean side was her texting one, she always had to finish a text before answering my questions. “So I heard from Haley earlier he tried to join the soccer team.”

I rolled my eyes, “He’d get in,” I said.

“He is in,” Alex said smirking, “I see some cheergirlie’s got a crush on the new kid.”

Eric laughed “Yeah, but admit it Alex, he has got a good aim!”

Jen laughed along, “So he’s the striker?”

Eric nodded, the bell rand and Eric gave Jen a quick kiss, “See you after class,”

He left with Alex. Lindsay, Jen and I walked towards our English class which was quite nearby when I overheard some girl talking with her friend say “God Lindsay’s such a bitch, She goes around walking like she owns this school and sleeping with all the guys,”

“Oh and Megan is way worse, did you see her dress today?”

Lindsay snapped. She walked over to the girls and put on her most charming smile, “Hey Olivia isn’t?” She put on of her slender hands on her waist and smiled.

“It’s Lissett,” She said annoyed.

Lissett was an average height girl with a long oval face. Her black hair looked oily and she didn’t wear any make up. Her shirt was tucked in really neatly and her tie was uncomfortably around her collared shirt. To top things off she wore black glasses and still had braces on.
