Jay's P.O.V

"Well, I should get going. Bye." [Y/N] turns back around & leaves.

"Bye [Y/N]." I say, as me & Ellie goes back inside my house, my gaze looked at Ellie as I notice that she glared at [Y/N] then looks back at me.

I then sigh as I close the door behind us.
"Okay Jay, who do you think you are? Walking home with some girl? I am your girlfriend, for God sake!! Do I look like a joke to you?!"

I sigh again, as I could feel her getting really angry.. I really don't wanna deal with her. Not now.

"--Of course you would say no! I- ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME-" "ELLIE STOP IT! SHE'S JUST A FRIEND!!" I say out loud cutting her sentence. Startled & Surprised, she then said "Oh? Now you're mad at me? Just for worrying!?"

The next few minutes were just us arguing. Insults back & forth. Tired, I then said;

"You know what? Get out of my house. I can't bear having to see you again."

"Fine, I'll go!" She opens the door & steps out of my house. "& don't bother even seeing me ever again! I'm done with you!!" & with that, a loud slam was all I heard.

Tired, I went to the couch & flopped, thinking what have I gotten myself into.

~Time skip to now sem break~

"What the..?" I groan. What time is it?
I sit up from my bed, there my alarm read;
"6:37 AM" Its too early for me honestly. Dan has turned me into a night owl.

Beside my alarm, there was my phone.
The name read "Gavin"

"What could that bastard want at 6 am?"
I mumble tiredly, as I picked it up, & answered it.

"Hello? Gavin, what could you want at this ti-" "Where are you right now?" Gavin's voice laced with seriousness as he cuts off my sentence.

"I'm.. At my dorm?" "Listen, I want you to meet me at the park, at 4 PM. Can you promise me that?" What? Why? Confuse I just replied with a yes, then he hung up.

~TimeSkip~

"Huh.. You actually came. Didn't think you'd show up." Gavin says, as I walk towards him. "& I didn't think you'd actually be here, good job, you didn't waste my time" I say.

"Its been awhile, hasn't it, Jay?" He says, leaning at the bridge, looking through the sunset. "Yeah, it has." I say as I did the same

(Insert a lovely bridge scene, both boys looking at the sunset. Lmao, I'd draw but I'm lazy.)

"So.."I start "You called me here.. For what exactly?" Silence was heard for a moment. Gavin then looks at me, with a serious face, & asks me straight forward;

"Do you like [Y/N]?"

"I- I.. [Y/N]?" I say, obviously taken back from what he had said. But seriously, why [Y/N]? Does he like her? Or am I just-

"You stuttered, Jay. Just answer my simple question, is it a yes, or a no?" He ask with a very serious face. Me on the underhand, stood there silent, & speechless.

"Well I mean- why are you even asking-"

"She likes you, Jay. Actually, let me correct myself, She loves you."

Wait.. What? She.. Loves me?

"I-" "Listen here, bud." He cuts me off again, this guy really likes cutting people's sentences. He then grabs my chin, then he lifts my head up to look at him, as his face gets closer to mine.

(Fanservice everyone)

"Don't you know how much [Y/N] is suffering? You caused her pain, Jay! & do you know why? She has hanaki." My eyes widened.. She-.. She didn't tell me?

"Oh, & don't get me wrong how hard it was for her to tell us that it was actually you she loves! She has been coughing out roses non-stop." He then let's go of my face.

"I don't want my friend to die, & I'm sure you don't either. [Y/N] is a sweetheart, & I would do anything, just for her to survive, even if it means hurting someone. But you know what? you're no use." He then walks away.

I.. couldn't believe what I had just heard. [Y/N].. She.. Loves me? Hanahaki? Roses?

It was difficult trying to process what Gavin had told me, then it clicked.

Me. I was her reason for her pain. This was all my fault. I had caused her this. As I leaned towards the bridge, I sighed.

& my mind immediately went back to thinking about [Y/N].

"[Y/N].." I say to myself.

Okey, if you're confused, let me explain;

So this was all happening, when [Y/N] was at Stephen's place. So it wasn't really Stephen who saved [Y/N], it was actually Jay!

So when Jay said "I love you too" that's when the flowers started dying out.

So uh basically- Jay is the one who [Y/N] really likes uwu
