The Hanahaki Disease usually something you develop due to one-sided love, but Flora... She was born with it.
Though, her Hanahaki Disease is different, instead of throwing up flowers, they bloom on her skin when she gets hurt. Due to that, she is frail and makes her lifespan shorter.

Duck!
What? Where?!
No, duck!

I duck down, the glass bottle barely missing my head.
Oh yeah, mamma got drunk again... I head to my room, avoiding anything else my mother threw at me, and locked the door.

God, why does my mother hate me??? I silently ask myself and whatever god exists. I suddenly felt blood trickling down my arm, I pull up my sleeve to revel a small cut with some glass in it, I sigh, well sh-**. I already have a small patch of flowers blooming on the cut, so I quickly run to the restroom and wash out the blood and glass.
It wasn't easy living here, I may only be 6, but I know how to treat my wounds. After all, Papa taught me... I wonder when he's coming back, he's been gone for over a year. Momma said he had gotten really sick and wasn't going to come back for a while. After a few weeks of her telling me that, she has started a drinking habit, when I asked her why when she wasn't drinking, she said that it stopped her pain for a short while.
I leave the restroom to see momma asleep on the couch. Good. She needs to rest after that. Momma had told me I have to start school again tomorrow, my first day of 1st Grade. I should wear long sleeves and a mask to hide the blossoms, I don't want anyone to ask about them. I grab my alarm clock from my nightstand and set an alarm for 4 in the morning. There, that should be enough time to take a bath, eat, get dressed, wake momma, and get my things ready for school before 6! I pride myself for a few seconds and get ready for bed.
I just hope she isn't there...
