I don't know why humans chose to be indoors nowadays. The villages around here are not as busy as they were, the hustle-bustle has faded. It almost feels like the humans went extinct.
My master sold me to a man with a hellish mentality. He was a retard, so f*king disgusting. After devouring all those animals in front me he expects me to just stand by and wait for my turn?
I did hurt my trunk in the process while snatching the butcher knife away from his hands, trying to save the animals. Ah... It's still bleeding...Hope they made a run from that hell, just like I did.
I tried to stop the bleeding by licking it but my ivory teeth came in the way.
I slowly take steps ahead with my broad pillar-like legs, tired for the day, and my large ears waving in the air to detect any danger. If you already didn't know I am an elephant. A female elephant.
Besides, I have a responsibility. I was reminded of it as the little being inside of me gave me a jerk from inside; telling me it was tired of all the moving around. I found a place to rest.
Maybe tomorrow I can find some nourishment for my baby. "You haven't eaten anything for days"
I said out loud to my baby, waiting for a response. He seemed to be sound asleep. After all, we went from a lot, pass these days. My previous master was a very generous person. I think he might be out of that paper from which they trade from other people because people don't seem to buy any milk from him anymore. Humans seemed to be afraid of something. They don't come out in the sunlight as often as they used to.
Let's think of something tomorrow, let's sleep for now.
I bend my rear legs down and then my front legs, leaning myself at the left side. I slowly closed my eyes dreaming for a better tomorrow.
I woke up to find some kids playing in front of me. I felt a little lazy to wake up and wash up too soon so I decided to watch them from afar. They seem to be having a lot of fun. The joy-filled eyes made me wish for my child. When he'll be born, I'll let him play with these little kids, they seem, good people, unlike the butcher I saw. He'll have a fun and safe childhood; I'll make sure of it
Determined me, was completely dissolved in my thoughts. Snapping out of my dreams, I saw those kids taking glances at me. I was startled.
Why did they stopped playing, am I not allowed to sit here?
One of them went inside the house.
I think I did something wrong, something is not right
The boy came back with a pineapple in his hand. He hesitantly took steps and kept the pineapple near me, gesturing me to take it. I was delighted with joy.
They knew I was starving?
I lifted the offering with my trunk and thanked them as I cried while trumpeting. I know they didn't understand a word, but my heart was burning at the moment. To receive their love, even when I didn't do anything for them and even used their place to rest. Once again I cried out loud... once again. I glanced at them. They seemed scared, backing away from me. Oh I have to quit, it's just that I was so stressed out, I just wanted to vent it all at once
~~~~~~~~~~~
I went to wash up a bit before I eat. I always do that, and I'll make sure my lil baby learns the same. I kept the pineapple in a safe place knowing that other animals might eat it before my baby could.
I slide my pillar-like legs in the lake water making beautiful clear rings around them. I sat down in the freezing water, looking at the reflection of my face. Oh, it's monsoon already. My huge body felt a lot of relief after knowing the kind people like my old master still exist. I closed my eyes as I was drowned into my thoughts again
I don't hate him for selling me. I'm sure I didn't lift the sacks right or demanded more food, and hence he couldn't afford me anymore.
My thoughts won't leave me until I snap myself out of it before I'm reminded that the baby might be listening to them. No stress for the baby
I get up from the water, standing on my pillars after I was done with washing up, just cleaning everything by rubbing my trunk against my head and mouth. Gotta make sure, I'm clean
After coming out of the water I went straight to find the pineapple where I hid it. My mouth was flooding with saliva as I smelled it thoroughly with my trunk to test if the fruit is rotten just in case. I hold it tight with my trunk as I couldn't wait anymore, brought I near my mouth, and placed it inside it. As it was big but not too big for an elephant's mouth, it sure took time to be crushed. And... as I split it with my small teeth, I felt something metallic inside my mouth. Before I could even throw it out of my mouth...it blasted. My flesh was flying in the air.
My trunk was bathed in blood. My insides were burnt to crust, it felt like someone grasped my heart tightly and won't let go of it until I die. I was thrown far away from where I was. My eyes, barely able to see the damage, became dysfunctional in a minute. I was short on breath, breathing heavily. I have no doubt my face was destroyed in the blast. My body insides were ripped apart because it blew in my mouth. But I just hope my baby lives. I started losing my breath just seconds after this happened.
S...Someone... ...Anyone... ...Please... ...save...m... child
I started losing consciousness, my eyes were blacked out before desperately searching for someone to remove my baby out of me, but not a single soul was around.
even...now...is fine, please...just
I did hear someone was around before I came here. I was sure I heard something in the woods. Finally losing all my hopes I accept the reality in front of me.
It's okay kid... I'm sure there was some mistake...there's no way someone can such fatal thing in a fruit right, I think my time came to give up on this world is all
I was suddenly teleported to a happy place, more heavenly, more soothing, and just perfect for my baby. I stare at the image of my child running towards me between the beautiful daylight. I greeted him with a gentle smile. The sun was shining on the dewdrops of the leaves making them shine like diamonds as I stare at their beauty, being mesmerized by it. My child called out for me from the distance with a gentle smile that I would die to see. "Come on mommy, our work is done here".
