Oh how I thought COVID would be gone when I started this chapter.🥲🥲💔 but hey we can still have fun and imagine right?

David wanted to throw Ryan a party for fun. Liza didn't budge and even offered to pay the cost, but David wouldn't allow that. He still had his birthday in August though. Both his parents invited some friends. Liza for the most part invited some kids from Ryan's play group who's mom's she had gotten friendly with. David got Ryan's moon bounces set up. Liza showed up to help with set up but she didn't come alone.

Ryan: Mama! Sawn!

He ran to Liza. He knelt down and high-fived Ryan. The mystery man and Liza walked over to David.

Liza: Hey David!

David: Hi.

Liza: Oh! David, this is my friend, Sean. Sean, this is Ryan's dad, David.

He extended his hand and David shook it.

Sean: Nice to meet ya man!

David: Hi, nice to meet you too...

Josh came and brought Max.

Ryan: Max!

Max: Ryan!

They hugged each other, a true tearjerker.

Josh was a friend both David and Liza have hung out with, alone. Ryan and Max would FaceTime one another and talk about nothing making it sound like something. They walked away to the table to help set up. He wasn't expecting Liza to come with any male friends. Sean was pretty attractive, they seemed to be all over each other. Flirtatiously joking and touching.

Kristen: Hey Sean!

Sean: Hi Kristen!

Heath: Sean! Hey man!

Sean: Hey dude!

Mariah: Hi Sean!

He turned to Natalie.

David: Does everybody know Sean, but, me?

Natalie: I guess so. I mean I don't know Sean, but, again, why would she tell me about him?

Angela: Hey Liza, Sean! I brought Fruit Salad!

She was one of Liza's "Mommy Friends". She had kids, she was about 10 years older and a total alpha mom. She was great for moral support and she always took Liza under her wing in her time of need. Her young kids ran over to Ryan's Dino themed bounce house to play with him. Then Tiffany showed up. She was a young mommy like Liza and they bonded over that.

Tiffany: HEEYY! I brought chicken.

Angela: Supermarket fried chicken?

Tiffany: Yeah!

Angela: Tiff, that's totally unhealthy and this is a kids garden party.

Tiffany: Come on, loosen up!

Tiffany walked over to Liza. She whispered in her ear.

~Whispers~

Tiffany: Look at you and Sean, you guys official yet?

Liza: No, we're just friends still.

Tiffany gave her "the look".

Liza: We are!

Tiffany: Alright, that's how it starts, then in the next like 2 years, I'm getting a baby shower invite.

Liza: Oh naw, this baby factory is closed up.

The friends shared a good laugh. Later on Ryan was playing with his friends and everyone was socializing. Of course David and his friends were like big kids themselves and some went inside the moon bounce. Liza was standing in between Sean's legs as he sat, while holding his cheeks, smiling and looking into his eyes, as they talked, while his hands rubbed the back of her thighs. David looked over and saw this.

David: See, "friends" don't do that.

Natalie: Well, if they're you're friends, you guys all touch on each other.

David: But, look how he's touching her. It's not a playful touch, it's a soft and romantic touch.

Natalie: Hush David, get over her, she isn't yours anymore. She's moving on.

David: So!

Liza kissed his cheek and he pulled her down into his lap giving her a peck on the lips.

David: Natalie, he literally just kissed her on the lips.

Natalie: They could just be getting super close, like that stage right before they start dating, you know?

Liza: Sean! I told them we're just friends, you can't kiss me on the mouth like that.

Sean: But, I want a girl like you to be mine though.

Liza: I know, Boo but give it some time.

Sean: I don't need anymore time, we're practically inseparable.

Liza: Sean, we will be together, just give it some time. Okay?

Sean: Alright then.

Liza kissed him on his cheek again and walked away. As the day went on David was getting fed up with their touching, pecking, grouping and hugging. He pulled Liza to the side.

Liza: David, what's this about.

David: Tell me the truth Liza, is that your boyfriend?

She was shocked.

Liza: Where's this coming from?

David: He's all kissing and touching on you, and you're smiling and blushing and hugging and kissing his cheek.

She faintly smiled. It was kinda cute he was so worried about her.

Liza: David, I told you already, Sean, is just my friend.

David: He's all over you though.

She gave a small chuckle.

Liza: That's just the way Sean is with me. Wait a minute... David?

David: Hm?

Liza: Are you jealous of Sean?...

She looked into his eyes.

Liza: Don't act like that, Bubba. Tell me, you can tell Pookie.

David: I'm not jealous! It's just, you introduced him as a "friend" but once again your kissing on him and sitting on his lap.

Liza: We're friends, that's where we stand with each other formally, and that's what it's gonna be for the time being. Just like you and I. We're more than just "exes", we're best friends. Nothing can ever replace what we had together and what we have together. We have a son, David. That's most important. I told Sean and I'm telling you, "It needs time".

David: What needs time?

Liza: Everything. Just everything. I'm not quick to jump into a new relationship with anyone until I'm for-sure it's what I want. I told him and if he's comfortable with sticking it out he may get me as his prize but, if not he can move on.

David: I guess.

Liza: Alright. Just relax, okay? Don't get too worked up about it.
