Disaster! Walking disaster! That what she felt for herself after the conversation. Confused. Happy. She was happy, that her boyfriend's mother was an open minded person, not like her other friend's boyfriend's mother, who literally were mean minded. Mean minded. Arrogant. They may be just being protective about their sons' future. They must thought that their son would be distracted. But forcing their sons' to stop loving someone on that age, only caused destruction of feelings, minds. Beautiful minds. She thought she must be very lucky. Very lucky.
The moon went. The Sun came. Another bright day. All days would be beautiful from yesterday.
It was a holiday. So no school. Biology sir would take class from 11:30 A.M.
When she reached there, only some boys were present. Not him. At 11:15 A.M., he came wearing a pink and blue shirt. He came and sat next to her. Everyone was teasing him. She were just smiling and trying to concentrate on previous class.
Sir came and the class was about human cardiovascular system for class 10. Mainly Heart. Total 3 hours.
Then the time came. He was the first person who left the room. She didn't understand. She went outside and saw him with a small box and a flower. It was not a normal flower. Basically a pen cap. The wall of caps were cut perpendicularly into four sections. Then they were bended outside. The holder of cap was the calyx. It looked like a open flower.
She took it. But her eyes were searching for his mother. She wanted to see her too. She took those and smiled at him and went towards the gate.
There was only one woman with a salwar suit and a pair of rimless glasses and a umbrella. She instantly recognized her. She had not enough courage to look at her face. She went away bowed down her head and took her bag in front of her and acted like she was searching something in her bag.
She was feeling her eyes on her. She wanted to run. But that would be an insult. She went away.
It was horrible. She reached at home and took that box into the washroom. She opened it. She was not expecting something like that. Beautiful.
It was a couple dome. A boy and A girl standing in the middle with a bicycle in a wedding dress. It had a light effect and when it was shaken there was glitter, raining on them. It was so sweet.
She felt like her life was Om shanti Om.She stared into the piece. It must be costly. She was angry but happy. He didn't have to do this. But her anger was gone. She couldn't hide it to her mother. If she had to do, how long she had to act like an another person to her family.
She made herself strong. It was the time. Her inner voice was stronger and louder than her, why she didn't know. But she felt that she had to tell today.
She went to her mother. She was cleaning window. Her hands and knees were shaking. But she had to do it. Now or later. But had to. Now is better than later.
- Maa.. a..( her voice was cracking) I want to tell you something....
Her mother realized to watch her face that something was definitely wrong with her.
- What happened?
- M..a..a.. Sou-rav , he pro-posed me.. yesterday.
Her mother was silent, watching her. Her tears were coming out of her eyes. Why was she crying, she didn't know. But she was crying.
- He gave it to me today. See. I accepted his proposal.
Her mother didn't say a word. She was watching. She opened the box and saw the couple dome. She came closer to her.
She also looked like she was going to cry.
She wiped her tears with her hands.- Nothing is wrong with this. Just take care of your study.
She nodded.
- I felt that something was going on with you. Just don't make bad result.
- Yes. I promise. I will do my best.
- I know.
-What about father?
- He will understand. Don't worry.
She hugged her daughter. Rashmi had never imagined her mother to be like this. She had no idea about her this side. She felt an unknown relief when she confessed her about everything and her mother listened to her. For the first time, with all her senses, she realized, She was the best thing that happened to her. Sourav made the mother daughter bond real like friends where you could say anything to her. Her respect towarded her mother grew deeper.
She loved her so much. It would must be different if she didn't realize her feelings or took her phone or made a scene. But she didn't. Rashmi thought that she must be very lucky. Very lucky to have her as her mother. Her intuition worked, finally she was happy. All happy. Now both of their mothers' knew.
Everything was like dream. A lucky Dream. May be.
