Levi gets up and opens the injection case, preparing to inject Erwin. Mikasa screams.

Eren weakly pulls at Levi's leg and asks him. "Captain...Do you... know about... the sea? No matter how far you look, it stretches past the horizon. It's a gigantic lake. Armin said..." Floch interrupts him and grabs him down.

Levi looks at him with pity. But he made a promise.

"Hey! Cut it out!"

"There's a sea beyond the walls...and he said we'd go there together!
But... that was our dream since we were little, and I forgot it long ago Avenging my mom... Killing the Titans...The only thoughts in my head are full of hate! But... he's not like that! Armin cares about more than just fighting! He has dreams!" Eren admits how everything is going for the pasts years.

"Everyone get out of here! I'm going to have Erwin eat Bertholdt!"

Levi glances at Armin's body and then gives the order for everyone to clear out so he can have Erwin eat Bertholdt.

"Come on. Let's go, Mikasa." Hange says.

"shit... shit...!" Jean manages to say. Jean leaves.

"Armin...See you..." Conny leaves with Hange on his back.

The group relocates, with Floch taking Eren away, so he cannot intervene, and Levi is left alone.

"Let's start by seeing the sea! You'll see it! It does exist!"

Mikasa, Eren and Armin they all gathered by the steps of some stairs. And Levi overheard them.

"If this dream of yours comes true...what will you do then?" Levi asked.

e's having these flashbacks.

"I don't know. I won't know until it happens."
This time Erwin was sitting down on a box, talking to Levi. Admitting the truth.
"I...I want to go to the basement."

"Good grief. They're all the same...Whining like brats one after another." Levi thought.

"Everyone had to be drunk on somethin' to keep pushing on...Everyone... was a slave to somethin'. But there's more than that." He remembered Kenny said.

"The sea..." Armin said with enthusiasm.

Levi was about to inject the needle but Erwin lifts his hand up, causing Levi to be scared.

"Erwin!" He manages to say.

"Teacher...How do we know there are not more humans...outside the walls?" Edwin's voice was weak and barely holding on.

Levi could saw what he couldn't see; How miserable Erwin looks.

"Give up on your dream and die. Lead the recruits straight into hell. Everyone had to be drunk on somethin' to keep pushing on...I will take down the Beast Titan."

Levi remembers him telling that to Erwin.

"Levi," Erwin lowered his head and smiles. "Thank you."

"Levi. You're still keeping your promise, right?" He asked.
"Which one? You asked so many, it's hard to keep track of."

"Of Mei. If I go and give that beast titan he'll, you know, I'm not coming back." Levi sighed.

"If you think that way, none of them will. That's why you have to keep giving hell."

"Guys! Help me! Annie! Reiner!"

Bertholdt wakes up in time to see a small blond Titan looming over him. He begins to struggle and notices his former friends watching from several rooftops away. Bertholdt panics and cries out for help but to no avail. As he screams for Annie and Reiner, Armin's Titan closes its jaws on his head and devours him.

"Captain...Why... did you...?" Floch asks.

"Do you think... you can forgive him? Levi asks.

"He had no choice but to become a devil. It was us who wished for that. And in the end, when he had finally been set free from hell, we wanted to bring him back once more. But I think... it's time to let him rest. Erwin...I promised I'd kill the Beast Titan, but...It's going to have to wait." Levi sighs in desperation.

"You...you promise?" He remembers talking to Mei. Giving her, his word. He only thought of what he's going to tell her when he sees her.

Hange begins to check Erwin. She puts her hand above his nose.

"He's... dead."

Levi only half closes his eyes and his heartache. His lips tremble. But he looks away.

"I see."

Behind them, the blond Titan collapses to the ground. Eren, Mikasa and the other 104th cadets surround it as Armin, emerges from the Titan, unharmed.
