A poem for the rain

Peaceful drumming above your head

Dreaming of dreams in your comfy bed

Or thrashing through every layer of clothing

Seeping into socks like unwanted thieves

Jumping and splashing in every puddle it leaves

The sky, grey and grim

Everything's gone dim

Like god switched the switch from blue skies

Drains giggle and gurgle

Like a bruise, clouds all purple

Rain is peaceful
