"I found everything in the world to be gorgeous when I opened my eyes..."

I saw kids my age playing with two identical All Might figurines in the park. Their faces filled with joy and bliss. There were two young boys. One with narrowed crimson red eyes and ash blonde hair. The other had big round emerald green eyes and curly dark green hair. They were messing around with bright smiles on their faces. Suddenly, three older kids came to the scene. It looked like they were mistreating the young boys by grabbing their hair and shoving them to the ground.

They grabbed the two toys and held them above their heads, making sure the two shorter kids couldn't reach them. The green haired boy was desperately clawing at their clothes trying to reach the toy he so desired. Thick, pearls of tears were running down their faces.

"Why are you doing this? You're so mean!" The green haired boy wailed.

"Awww, look at that guys! He's CRYING again! What a WEAKLING!" The bully taunted raising the toy higher and higher in the air.

A shrill voice from the ash blonde haired boy cut through the air like a knife. "GIVE THEM BACK!!!" When I looked a little closer, purplish bruises appeared on the boy's skin. His face contorted into frustration and anger. His piercing gaze met the three boys. I noticed that the green eyed boy had similar bruises but not as severe as his friend's.

I wanted DESPERATELY to help people. But in this age, the word hero had forgotten its meaning. I wanted to help people but my selflessness got the better of me and I forgot to save myself

"What are you going to do about it? Tattletale?"

"YOU and HERO! What a joke! Don't make me laugh! You can't become a hero!"

The ash blonde clenched his fists on the bottom of his shirt and looked down. He then inhaled deeply and yelled on the top of his lungs, "I WILL BECOME A HERO! BETTER THAN ALL MIGHT! YOU JUST WATCH ME!"

The bully scoffed and grabbed the collar of the smaller boy's shirt and lifted him up. "YOU think you can be better that All Might! NO CHANCE! DO YOU KNOW WHY! IT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTHLESS! YOU ARE NOTHING!!!!!" He threw the boy to the ground.

"K-Kacchan..."

"S-shut it, Deku!"

One of bullies was about to punch the ash blonde in the face with their fist reeled back. The defenseless boy placed his hands on his face in fright. It felt like everything was in slow motion.

'I don't want my parents to control me anymore...'

I had to do something. My pace at first was walking.

'I want to be...'

...then jogging...
