11.My Bait

Max's POV

I sit up in my bed still thinking about everything Dionna told us yesterday.

I walk to the bathroom and take a quick shower, since I don't have any clothes here at the Spears I just put on the old ones and decided to go look for everyone.

I'm about to leave the room when someone knocks on the door and enters.

"Sorry to disturb you sir, buh miss Dionna asked that I bring you these clothes." A girl probably younger than I am says

"Oh thank you, erh put them on the bed." she does as she's told and turns to leave "Is Dionna's room on this floor" I asks her.

"No, there are only guest rooms on this floor. Miss Dionna's room is on the third floor." "thank you"

After I changed into the white v-neck t-shirt and jeans she brought I start my way towards the third floor.

"May I come in" I say after she's done with her call "yeah, sure."

As I walk closer I notice she looks very tired. She had on a black sleeve with a long neck and a black skinny jeans and high leather boots. Her hair was combed to one side of her face. Even with all that make up I still noticed some eye bags which are proof of a bad night.

"You look tired, don't worry everything would be fine." I quickly assure her. "I met with Ashley on my way here and it seems like breakfast is ready."

"I'm not hungry" she says sadly

"Oh please I can here you stomach rumbling from a distant. Come on, let's go."

"I said, I'm not hungry" she yells

"Hey calm down okay, if you don't want to eat its okay with me."

"Sorry but I'm just not in the mood, I have something to tell everyone."

I follow back to the kitchen and find everyone in pretty much the same condition a mixture of sadness, pain and anger.

"Hi.. Erh I wanted to let you guys know that I sent someone to go back and get some stuff for us from school so if you need anything let me know. And also I have people watching the Quad mansion so there's no need to worry. I need to go and find out if there is any news on Lena. "

I notice a few tears escape her eyes as she walks out.

After having breakfast I realize that I'm left alone with Ronald who still hasn't finished his food.

"Sorry man, look Lena might not be here with us but I'm quit sure Smith won't hurt her until after 72hours."

"Is that suppose to make me feel better huh, 72hours and I don't even know how Dionna is planning to get her back and we have very little to support her with." He sniffs before continuing "this could be our only chance to take down Smith and the shipments isn't even here yet."

"I guess you're right buh we can't give up now."

After a while I decide to look for Dionna and ask her how she plans to get Lena back.

"Is everything ready? " she says to someone on the phone.

"Take them to one of our warehouse I'll be there in 30."she hangs up

" You're going somewhere? " I ask with concern visible in my tone.

" Yes! Actually I need to make some arrangements. "

"Does this have something to do with how to get Lena back?"she nods in reply.

"I'm coming with you"
