i was rushing back to work, probably running tons red lights in the process but i was frantic. i had forgotten to give jungkook some paperwork that was due today. quickly, i ran out of my car, a folder in my hands and keys in the other. i looked like a mess, wearing sweats and my hair up in a bun.

where the hell was his office again? i wandered around the seemingly empty building, hoping and praying that jungkook was still in his office. getting a little distracted, i nearly bumped into someone.

"are you lost?"

i looked up to see who was questioning me and once again i was astonished by beauty. oh god i've seen what you've done for others.

"yeah...i am, where is jungkooks office?" i questioned.

"follow me i was just on my way there to drop off some papers, i'm namjoon by the way."

"i'm y/n." i said following his steps.

"i've heard about you." namjoon said clicking on the elevator button.

"not the first time i've been told that."

"haha so there's a rumor going on that your father was an actor, is there any truth in that?"

here we go again with the invasive questions.

"i'm actually not sure who my parents were, i was in foster care for a few years but now i live on my own. but now that you ask me that, i'm curious."

"i didn't mean to intrude, i asked out of interest. and please do keep my updated." he said stepping out of the elevator leading me to our destination and holding the door open for me.

"there's my favorite girl."

with a look of shock i walked in embarrassed by my current appearance, i saw jungkook happily grinning as i approached.

namjoon handed his papers to jungkook and stepped out.

"hi..."

it's so funny seeing her flustered, humans never cease to amaze.

"i just dropped by to give you some paperwork i forgot, sorry- it was due today but it completely slipped my mind."

"oh yeah, no that's fine. i'm glad you dropped by though because i was wondering if you wanted to get some dinner? i'm sure you're tired from everything, it'll be my treat." i spoke up.
i needed her to trust me, i'll run a dna test. maybe. i'm growing impatient. the faster i can prove that this is her, the faster i can kill her.

"uh sure that'd be nice. but i could pay." she shyly responded.

stupid bitch.

"no, that wouldn't be very chivalrous of me if i allowed you to. let's go now."

i got up grabbing my suit jacket and my bag full of files as she handed me whatever she forgot to give earlier.

"but my car's here-"

"no worries, we'll figure something out."

i led her to my car, holding the door open for her, getting in after and driving off.

"so y/n tell me about yourself."

"there's not much, i live alone, i have a small circle of friends. no known family."

aw man i wish i gave a fuck.

"ah, yes- sorry for asking so often, i know it may sound invasive and a little too personal but i just need to know how flexible you can be with your schedule." i fibbed, my thumb tapping the steering wheel as i waited for a green light.
