Sunlight hits your eyes mercilessly. You open them to a scene that is all too familiar - four walls. You liked looking out of the window. It was the only way you knew what the Sun was.Next thing you know, you're running away. Away from the apparent chains that denied you freedom. You look at the ground as you feel your feeble feet get hurt and stick to dirt.
You look back occasionally. You know they're following you, chasing you, trying to stop you from going there. They keep telling you not to go anywhere near there, as there live dangerous 'creatures'. Pfft.I'd rather be with those creatures than back in there.
You run away until you stop hearing humans. There is an eerie silence and you can hear crickets and owls. The leaves crumpled helplessly beneath your steps. You find a tree without insects creeping up and down on it. You sit down, hugging your legs, depending on the uneven bark of the tree for a spine.
You go out cold, thanks to the fatigue from running for miles.
You just wanna get away.
