Jeremy was never known to keep significant others for very long.  It's not like he was a slut or a cheater or something, no, he just had a... peculiar way of showing affection.

Jeremy loved to steal his partner's things.  It didn't matter what it was, it could be something as small as a keychain or as large as their laptop, anything that reminded him of the person.  No one really liked it; they all thought it was creepy and weird, so they broke up with him for it.  Jeremy, being the soft anxious bean he was, didn't have the courage to tell them why he stole their things.

That's why he was so nervous when he started dating Michael.  He didn't have many classes with him, only Math and English (their lunch period), and after the SQUIP-cident his father decided that part of being a dad was setting curfews, so Jeremy couldn't stay out past 10 p.m. on weekdays.  He always missed Michael.

He wanted something to remember Michael by when Jeremy wasn't able to see him, but he didn't want to creep Michael out by taking something.  On one Saturday during the summer, when it was insanely hot, Michael was over at Jeremy's house playing AOTD when *gasp* the air conditioner broke.  On the hottest day they had ever experienced.

"Jesus, dude, I forgot global warming was a thing until now," Michael said, putting down his controller to wipe sweat off his face.  The boys were slouched on bean bags in Jeremy's basement, and even though basement's are supposed to be cold cause of science and all that shit, they were boiling.

"I know.  I feel like... I don't know, a very hot... person, jeez I'm bad at metaphors."  Jeremy flopped back onto the beanbag and sighed very dramatically like the theater geek he was.

Michael was walking around the place, trying to find something, anything that would blow relatively cool air in his face.  He settled on a piece of printer paper on a desk Jeremy used to work on his homework and began fanning himself with it.  "Oh my God, I literally can't deal with this right now."

Jeremy laughed despite the discomfort he felt from sweat on his face.  "Since when did you become a valley girl?"

Michael pouted and Jeremy smiled, thinking about how adorable his riend looked when he pouted.  "Anyways, if you're so hot, why don't you take your hoodie off?" he questioned.

"Oof, good idea."  Michael proceeded to take off his classic red hoodie and throw it across the room.  "Ahhhhhh, much better," he sighed in relief.

After about an hour or so of more video games (i didnt know how to word that sorry if it sounds weird), Michael's three bottles of Crystal Pepsi caught up with him.  "I gotta take a piss, I'll be back in a sec Jere."

"TMI, babe," Jeremy joked.  After Michael left for the bathroom (awww no micha), Jeremy had nothing to do but look around the room and wait for Michael to come back so they can keep playing their game.  His gaze drifted to the bright red hoodie on the ground next to him.  Jeremy felt the sudden urge to snuggle up in the hoodie, since it smelled like Michael.

Wait, stop, he'll think you're weird! he thought, shaking his head to clear himself of the crazy idea.  But he likes weird, right? I mean, he likes you.  True, but he didn't want to risk it.

After panicking silently for a minute, the anxious brunet decided "fuck it, he's my boyfriend and I want to smell like him." Not in a weird way, though.

He snatched up the hoodie and pulled it on over his striped T-shirt.  Oh. My. GOD.  It was the most perfect thing anyone could ever experience.  The hoodie smelled exactly like him, like weed and Mountain Dew Red and all the things that made Michael... Michael.  It was hilariously oversized on Jeremy, but that only made him want to snuggle up into it even more.

His flustered little daydreams were interrupted by a small giggle behind him.  He whipped around and saw Michael standing behind his beanbag, trying to hold in a laugh.  Jeremy's face probably blended into the hoodie, he was so embarrassed.  "I-I... I'm sorry... I-I'llgiveitbackohmygodthisissoweirdI'msorry ugggghhhh..." he stuttered, trying to get a coherent sentence out.

Instead of yelling at Jeremy for taking his hoodie, Michael smiled and sat down next to Jeremy on the beanbag, wrapping his arms around the skinny boy.  "Don't take it off, you look absolutely adorable," he whispered into Jeremy's ear.

Jeremy was pretty shocked.  He had expected a messy breakup, but he got a surprise (but not unwelcome) cuddle session.  "I... aren't you mad at me?" he said.

Michael adjusted himself so he looked Jeremy in the eye.  He had a confused expression on his face, his eyebrows scrunching together in an adorable way.  "Why would I be mad, Jere? You're my boyf, this is what boyfs and riends do.  We give our partners our clothes because we want them to be with us all the time.  I would give anything to have one of your striped shirts to wear everyday, but they don't fit me."

Jeremy looked at his boyfriend with a smile in his eyes.  "Really? I dunno, I thought you'd be mad I took your hoodie."

"Of course not," Michael smirked.  "How about this: you buy a blue hoodie that I'll wear for a whole week and I'll buy a red shirt for you to wear for a full week and then we give them to each other so we always have a reminder of each other."

Jeremy's smile made Michael happier than ever.  "I would love that."
