Attack on Titan: The Tenth Power
Story Recap Chapter (Season 3)

Narrator Armin: Humanity had made its greatest strides ever when it came to its battle for survival against the Titans. With the discovery of Eren's Titan power, humanity had a fighting chance. They uncovered traitors among them, effectively stopping Annie, the Female Titan. Even driving away Reiner, the Armored Titan, and Bertholdt the Colossal Titan for a time. Soon after those events, things seemed to calm down for a short time. We stayed in a secluded cabin, away from most people for around a week. Since Levi's squad was entirely wiped out during the 57th Expedition Outside the Walls, we became the new Levi Squad. The time we spent in that cabin felt similar to the times we had in the Cadet Corps, and I think I can say we all needed that after all we've been through. However, we didn't just stay in the cabin for no reason. We needed the secluded cabin area so Hange could run secret tests with Eren's Titan form. Her ultimate goal was to get Eren's Titan to harden its skin so we could fix the hole in Wall Maria, but sometimes she was a little to eager...

(Eren's Titan let out a roar as it looked up into the blue sky. It shook its head wildly as it fell over, its face smashing into the grass. Everyone watched. Mikasa, Jean, Connie, and Sasha stayed on their horses, keeping a safe distance...)

Mikasa: Eren!

(Hange, Levi, Moblit, Armin, and Historia watched from a cliff side above. They had no need for horses, as they kept a bird's eye view...)

Hange: What's wrong, Eren?! Get up! The future of humanity is riding on you! Get up, dammit!

Levi: Hey, four-eyes. He's not quite the same this time. He's not even 10 meters, and some of his body doesn't have muscle. Plus, Eren's ass is hanging out.

Hange: I can see that! Eren! Can you still move?! Give us a signal or something!

(Mikasa jumped off her horse as she quickly ran towards the unresponsive Titan Eren...)

Mikasa: Eren!

Jean: Mikasa!

(Everyone on the cliff side watched as Mikasa quickly made her way to Eren. Hange was keeping still, trying to watch Eren to see if he'd give any kind of signal to continue their test...)

Levi: Hey... That gloomy brat is acting on her own again. Time to think up a punishment?

Hange: No, there's no signal... We're done here! Eren!

(Hange and Moblit jumped off the cliff side, using their ODM gear to safely descend to the seemingly unconscious Titan Eren. Once they landed on the hot steaming Titan body, Hange tried pulling Eren free of the nape...)

Hange: Hot! Hot damn, you are hot!

Mikasa: Hange, wait! Eren is bleeding!

(She yanked again, revealing some of Eren's face...)

Hange: Whoa! Check it out, Moblit! Eren's face! Hurry up and sketch it!

(Mikasa showed great concern in her face as she saw what Hange was talking about. The skin on Eren's face was ripped off completely, revealing his bloody skull...)

Moblit: Section Commander! Are you lacking in human compassion?!

(Mikasa cut the muscle connecting Eren to the Titan's nape. She fell backwards, still holding the unconscious Eren. She then looked down, as if she seemed to show she was disappointed in herself for getting over excited...)

Hange: Sorry, I got carried away...

Narrator Armin: We realized we had a long road ahead of us if we wanted to seal Wall Maria with the Titan hardening ability. Eren properly healed up within a day thanks to his Titan abilities, and the mission to recapture Wall Maria was shelved till Eren could harden. However, something happened the day after that test, and it would lead into something truly unexpected...
