MBBW CHAPTER 1: RED

UP TOP IS RED WITH OUR FRIENDLY WOLF ~~~ IMAGINE THE WOLF WITH BLACK FUR INSTEAD OF WHITE (though it does look pretty in white XD) ANYHOW, ENJOY THE CHAPTER GUYS!!

~WOLF'S POV~

I could still remember that woman's face and please as she was dying in front of me. I could smell of her blood leaving her body, as she lay there looking at the full moon that night. 'I could never forget it' With the woman's last breath- she told me to keep him safe.

Thus, I have been doing for the past fifteen years. When she eventually passed away, I changed back into my human form where only a handful of people have saw me in. I carried her body to the giant oak tree, that was positioned right under the full moon. 

I remembered her body looking pretty in the moonlight- like she was glowing into the stars. I made sure she looked comfortable for her resting place... its the least thing I could do for the woman. 

'So much blood that night- and for what I what exactly? For a boy to grow up without their parent... It makes me sick to even think about.' 

While I was reminiscing about the past, I didn't notice a brown head boy sneaking up behind me. The brunet boy grabbed my tail, squeezing it slightly hard for my liking but didn't mind though. He quickly made his way onto my back, straddling me like I was a horse to him. 

"Wolf what are you doing just laying here?" The young boy questioned me.

I could only smile at the cute boy. He resembled so much of his late mother, it pains my heart to be reminded of what happen that faithful night. 

"Red." Yes - that was his name. The name might sound weird, but honestly I didn't mind. The young boy was unique, and his mother was the Lady In Red. 

Red brought his face close to mine, letting me see his curious look he got when he was but a baby.

"Y-yes?" He stuttered cutely. 

Without him expecting it, I quickly moved my head towards him to 'bop' his nose. I used to do this whenever he would start to fuss, or simply cry over anything when he was younger. Red quickly became red from my sudden act - backing his face away from mine, and putting his hands over his face from embarrassment. 

"W- what was that for wolf?" Red asked me from still hiding behind his hands. 

I simply smiled at the boy; "don't worry about it - lets just say, I used to do that when you was a little baby. Now - let's head into town for some groceries, did you have a dish in mind for dinner tonight?" 

Red removed his hands from his face. He titled his head sideways to think about what he wanted for supper tonight. Just then he does the "lightbulb look" being very happy for what he came up with. 

"Can we please have grilled cheese and soup? I'm really craving it!" 

'Why is he so cute over the smallest things?' I questioned to myself.

I couldn't help but to do a little chuckle to myself before answering his suggestion. "Of course - whatever you want Red, but lets head back to the house before something snatches you up." I quickly advised, seeing as though we was just laying around in the forest.

"Yayyy~ thank you Wolfe!" 

I got off the forest floor, motioning Red to quickly climbed on top of me so we could hurry home. The spot we go to isn't that fair from the house no, but it isn't like a  walk in the park either. The reason we go there is because of a certain little boy who can't seem to let go of the black berries that grow there.

Usually we would bring some home for him to snack on throughout the day - but something told me that today wasn't a good idea. Alas - I didn't want to tell Red that we couldn't go out today for him to cry, or either freak out - so me being my nice self I let him go, but only for a little while. 

We made it to our little home in the forest, Red getting off of my back carefully, as I am not your average wolf you'll find in the woods at night. 

"Wolf - I've been meaning to ask you why are you so huge? You're like my height and I am a human!" Red suddenly asks me. 

I turned around to look at him dearly - showing my bloodshot eyes. "I'll explain when you're older, but for now just stay in your age okay? Now I need to transform - so do a little spin for me, and also cover your ears please." 

Red gave me an annoyed look, puffing out his little bottom lip at me from annoyance. He did what I asked of him, and turned around facing the other way. After that - I made myself get prepared for what was about to come.

The house was silent, including the forest for that matter. My body began to change from its wolf form, and into my human self. I tried my best to muffle out the pain I was currently getting from. Bones was cracking all over my body - including sweat droplets escaping my body landing on the ground. 

What felt like hours to me - was only ten to fifteen to other kinds of people like me. My canoes and retracting my nails always took me the longest - ever since-

"Hey, I didn't know we have neighbors Wolf!." My thoughts was suddenly cut off by Red. 

I found some clothes on the floor - where I keep for reasons and made my way to where Red was looking at. Confusion ran across my face - seeing as though there was no sign of life from a mile away. 

"What are you talking about?" 

Red pointed at two large wolves who were just standing close to the house looking at us. My thoughts immediately ran towards Red. 'Why are they here for? Are they here to kidnap him?' I didn't like where this situation was going.

"A - are they friendly? They don't seem to inviting." Red began to tremble beside me, holding onto my shirt I put on. I put my arm around his side - making sure to make him feel better from this situation. 

"Red I'll be right back okay? I'm just gonna go talk to them." As I began to leave our little home - I soddenly felt someone tug my shirt. 

"D - don't leave me please! I don't l - like to be left alone." Hearing that come from him - truly felt sad for the boy. 

"M'kay." I bend down to his level and gave him a reassuring smile. 

Afterwards, I opened the front door letting Red stay close to me at all cost. I looked around the  premises of the house to make sure we wasn't getting into a trap. We stood in front of the large wolves, not to close to where they can lung at us at any moment. 

"What is it that you want?" I quickly asked them. 

The two wolves looked at each other before one of them spoke. 

"Your maker wants you back Atlas, and you know how mad he can get."
