Invincible

Day 1. (Jones POV)

Johanna is so ignorant! "IF HE DOESNT LEAVE BONES, MAYBE HE DOESNT KILL EVERYONE!!!" She is ranting on, desperately begging for people in the café to believe her. She is getting looks, and I swear I can hear someone whisper, "it didn't say in the newspaper that someone escaped from the insane asylum." I am starting to feel a little bad for her. I mean, she is in panic mode.

She used to be my friend, that is, before she pulled the lever to bring us here.

"WE CAN MAKE A HOME HERE! JUST LISTEN!" By now, she looks like a screaming toddler running around a playground screaming that someone stole her toy. She thought that her ideas were top notch. That we could establish peace with the beast that lives here!

She just doesn't get it. She wants to live here, Mona, Jasper, Myrtle, and myself are slaves. If we work here long enough, we will be given freedom to escape.

Everyone calls me Jones. I don't know why, I guess I have just never told anyone my name. I guess it's "Symbolic" because of a character in the 21st century. My real name is Dirk.

I am here because there were reports over in the area of Higley, Arizona. We went there, and Johanna was given our fate in her hands. We could go home with no memory or pull a lever and go to this mysterious world where people were killed every other night.

Joe is still in the room where the option was given. They are doing tests on him.

I don't know what brought us here, and frankly I don't care. All I want is to go home. Then, I will quit the agency and go to the authorities. But which ones? Newspaper? Government? Who knows. All I want is to leave.
