This part is not properly edited guys..I had to post this, since i don't know when I would update next,so till then.. chapter 8 . Bear with me for my shortcomings.

I was on my way to pick up Zoe the next morning.
She had told me to be there at 8.30 am , on the dot.
I left home early that day ,lest I get late.

Nearing her home, I saw her already waiting near the gate, dressed in a beige coloured kurti, paired with a jeans that extended till her ankle, her hair was tied up in a bun giving her a classy look.

She waved a "Hi" when I got near her and I stopped the bike.
"Good morning!!" I smiled cheerfully at her, Removing my helmet.
"Morning Veer! ..wow someone is so cheerful early in the morning" she laughed merrily.
"Yes..till yesterday I was traveling to the office all alone. Now I have a company. And a charming one at that". Did I just flirt?? That was a first!!
"Flattered!! Shall we get going?? She shook her head while I gave her a helmet that I brought for her and wore mine.

She struggled with the chin strap of the helmet while wearing it .
"Here..let me help you" I said and she came a little towards me. The mint perfume clogged my senses and My fingers brushed against her chin and the side of her neck, felt no less than melted butter.
I didn't realise I was holding a deep breath, till I latched the chin strap and she moved away to sit behind me on the bike.

I took a look at her in the side view mirror, noticed how she kept biting her lower lip every now and then.
She seemed very thoughtful.

"Acha Zoe..what's up??
"Hmm??" She looked at me through the mirror
"You seem a little thoughtful today. What is it ..are you worried about some thing?
"Nothing as such...bus aise.." she nodded her head sideways and looked down fidgeting with her clutch .

"Pakka??" I looked at her scrunching my eyebrows.
"Acha..it's...it's just that I want this event to go really well. I want it to be perfect". She finished , looking at me.

"Arre..why do you worry?of course you would do well...even if you face little goofups it's going to be fine...that's how you learn right??"I tried to reason with her.

"You don't understand Veer.." she sighed
"Acha..make me understand.." I was persistent.
"This is my first ever corporate project Veer.
If I go wrong somewhere , not only it will affect the firm's reputation ,I will also lose my credibility ,and an another opportunity like this, will become a distant reality". She finished in a single breath.

"Hmm...I get it..you are going to rock it Zoe...don't worry. A work done with passion and hardwork cannot fail ."
I tried to cheer her up.
"Hmm...I hope so." She was still worried.

It kind of ached to see her like that.
It seemed as though her restlessness seeped into me.
Nevertheless, I started the bike and we zoomed off on the road.

I stopped the bike in front of the church I frequently visited and we got down;she looked at me puzzled.
"Why have you stopped here Veer?? Aren't we getting late??"

"We aren't late Zoe. You will be there on time. Now trust me and come with me , will you? "I held her hand and took her inside the church.

"I thought you would feel better if you spend some time here. It is very peaceful in here. Leave all your worries over here . You will be fine.". I assured her

She knelt before the statue of "The sacred hearted Jesus" with folded palms and mumbled something .

I left her there and went outside to give her some privacy.
She came out after a good 5- 10 minutes.

"Chalein??" I turned around to start the ignition on. She held my hand and came in front of me, looking into my eyes,
"Thank you Veer, that meant a lot. Really. I did feel better." I felt my chest surge with an emotion I didn't know. I gently rubbed her hand that was holding my hand.
