We jumped off the stairs. We swung both our bodies around to see a school, catching on fire. Part of the side was burnt off. Lizzie's eyes got huge. In the distance, I saw a plane. It was silver, with black and red war-paint on the side that spelled out "Sector 13". The mysterious plane dropped a bomb. Which, lead to the school bursting into more flames. We both turned and got on our bikes. We pedaled as fast as we could. It seemed like the scent of ashes were catching up to us. But, it was the fire that was catching up. The trees behind us burst into flames. "Oh my god!"Lizzie cried. We both were panting of heat, pressure, and we were getting tired. In the distance, we heard screaming and shrieks of the others that were still in the school area. Others in cars, and some others riding bikes passed us. Soon a school bus of 5 other students, our age, pulled in front of us. "Get on!" One girl on the bus said. Lizzie and I jumped off our bikes. We ran to the open door of the bus. "Oh my goodness." Lizzie pointed out the back window. "The fire is coming!" "C'mon!" A boy in the seat behind us said "Let's go!" He said, nervously.
