I looked out of my second story bedroom window that bright morning when I first saw him. He was standing in the large front lawn of the mansion parallel to my house. He was unlike anything I've ever seen before. Just the sight of him amazed me. Him and his family had just recently moved to the small town of Asheville. The town where I am expected to be Miss Perfect, I was the mayor's daughter after all. I'm Kenzie Blake. My father is the mayor and being his only daughter I must meet expectations. I'm always being watched or looked at to see if I meet standards. It's not always easy, I always wanted to stray away from what my parents and the town want. I wanted to be a normal teenager. I wanted late nights under the stars. I wanted all kinds of marvelous adventures. Little did I know, the new boy next door might just turn into my favorite one. He was new and exciting. He had everything a girl could ever need, light brown hair, gorgeous green eyes, and an amazing build. He was a sight for sore eyes. I hadn't even talked to him yet, but I was already hooked. Now, I'll take you to the first moment we met. That moment stayed in my mind for a long time. It was a normal school day, starting with a 8:00 am biology class. Second period was English, that's when I met new boy next door. Later I would find out, he was named Liam Cameron. I walked in to Mrs. Ames classroom and sat in my seat by the window. I like to see the cars pass by on the wide open road. Liam walked in 10 minutes later, he had on black jeans, old high tops and a Blink-182 t-shirt.
"Well, nice of you to finally join us, Mr. Cameron. You can take the open seat next to Kenzie. Oh and Kenzie, since it is obvious he can not find his own way, can you show Liam around the rest of the day. Thank you dear!" I heard Mrs. Ames speak. But I didn't register what she was saying. It wasn't until my incredibly hot neighbor was sitting in the desk next to me that I realized she said my name.

"Okay, Mrs. Ames." I reply a little bit late. The popular girls in the room glared at me. Of course they were jealous that I would be spending extra time with the new boy in town.

"Hello, beautiful. It seems as if you're my tour guide for this place." Liam looked at me with those eyes, he had a smirk across his face, and I almost melted right then and there.

"Yeah, I guess I am. I'm Kenzie Blake. And welcome to absolute hell." I speak quietly. I can't have Mrs. Ames mad at me.

"I'm Liam Cameron." He speaks quietly too. He must have realized why I was whispering. He looks forward and pays attention to the lesson. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing for myself. I was paying attention to him. Lost in my thoughts and remembering yesterday morning when I first saw him. I wonder if he knew me already. Did he know I was the mayor's daughter? I was so unfocused on the world around me that I didn't realize the bell had already rang.

"Earth to Kenzie!" Liam spoke louder this time. He took me out of my thoughts. He started laughing when I looked up at him shocked. "I can't be late for my second class in a row. I already checked, we both have the same class, algebra." He started walking to the hall way. I guess I should probably lead the way. He's gonna get lost.

"May I ask what was inhabiting your mind so much?" Liam questioned. I blushed. I'm so stupid! Now he's gonna know I was thinking about him.

"Oh, umm. It was nothing just you know..... English. Yeah, that's what I was thinking about." I spoke, very embarrassed.

"You and I both know that's not what you were thinking about. It's okay that you were obsessing over me darling. Who knows, maybe one day I'll obsess over you as well." He looked at me with a mischievous smile on his face and I couldn't help but start laughing.

"Yeah okay, I barely know you. Why would I be obsessing over you?" I said sarcastically.

"Cause I'm hot, obviously." He wasn't wrong. But this boy had a major ego problem.

"You wish you were hot." I play along with him as we reach Mr. Fields classroom. This is quite possibly the worst class of the day. We sit by each other towards the back of the classroom by my best friend Cassidy Jones. Right off the bat, her attention is focused on Liam. I mean I can't blame her. He is very attractive.

"Why hello there, I'm Cassidy. And you are really cute." She reaches out across in front of me and shakes his hand. His green eyes light up. I mean why wouldn't they, Cassidy is the complete opposite of me. She has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She's the kind of girl that could get any guy she wants. But she never wants to settle. She's always had dreams for herself. Cassidy never wants to get distracted. She is studying for a future doctor career.

"Hi Cassidy, I'm Liam. And thanks for the compliment. You aren't too bad yourself." Liam replies in a charming way. He dresses like a bad guy but acts as if he was raised by royalty. He's every girls dream. Maybe that's why I fell so fast.

"Hello class, today's lesson is going to be a bit challenging for most of you. So get right to it, and if you are absolutely stuck I will come around to help you." Mr. Fields spoke in a serious tone. He spoke fast too. Throughout the lesson Cassidy, Liam, and I worked together to find the solutions. Soon enough, the class was over and Liam had a different class than Cassidy and I. We had to head to Home Ethics on the other side of the school and Liam was going to the room next door for Woodworking. As we were walking, my thoughts got lost in Liam again. I was imagining what it would be like to see him in Woodworking. His hands working towards building something or sculpting the wood. I started blushing again, God, I had to control my thoughts.
