Sjin waved bye to Lalna. Something was up with him. Well Lalna had always been a bit hyperactive maybe Sjin was just confusing that with edgy. He pushed the mahogany door open took his shoes off and crept upstairs into their bedroom. He snuck in and was shocked. He was trying not to be seen by Xeph, yet Xephos wasn't here. He got into bed. Noises came from downstairs. Noises of a drunken man trying to get up the stairs.
"Xephos?" Sjin asked. Xephos stumbled into the bedroom.
"Oh! Y-your awake?" Xephos he stuttered and slurred.
"Yes Xephos I'm awake! Where have you been?" Sjin spat. Xephos flinched.
"Just o-out", Xephos stuttered more clearly now. Sjin got up. Xephos was undressing so he could get into his pajamas.
"Where have you been Xephos?" he said walking up to him. Xephos backed away trying to put his trousers on. Sjin walked right up to Xeph.
"Where were you!" He shouted. Xephos fell on his butt and pulled up his trousers. He was sweating now. Sjin wouldn't have been suspicious if Xephos wasn't so worried. Because obviously it wasn't just him hiding secrets. But if at any point Xephos asked him where he was he would just tell him. He and Lalna were just friends. He and Lalna were just friends.
"Xephos!?!" Sjin yelled "Who were you banging?" Xephos whimpered.
"Fine Sjin," Xephos said bluntly, "You want to know?" he stood up and looked Sjin in the eye. "You really want to know?" Sjin stepped backwards.
"YES. Yes I want to know," Sjin spat.
"Well you know your little precious? The one that you have a statue of? The one that used to love you?" Xephos said circling Sjin with a mischievous grin. Sjin had tear stricken cheeks. The hurt on his face unmissable.
"And you know what else?" he said not even done.
"WHAT XEPHOS? WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU DONE?" Sjin shouted weeping. Xephos stepped back.
"Well all that time I was 'away' I was off building a functioning dirt factory with him".
Sjin ran. He ran out the door. He ran to the statue of Sips. He hugged it and wept
"Sipsy? Do you really not love me anymore?" his voice cracked and his knees buckled with his arms around Sips' neck. "Was Sjips co. nothing to you? Was the 'I can't get anything done without you. The factory's a mess. I'm a mess without you' a lie?" Sjin was truly broken sobs racked his ribs, "If it wasn't a lie what was it? What was it all to you Sips?" Sjin stayed there hugging Sips sobs still racking his ribs singing 'A Fairytale of Sips Co.'
Xephos came outside.
"Sjin? Sjin look I'm sorry! I'm smashed! I didn't mean it!" Xephos came over trying to make everything right. Sjin stopped sobbing. He stood up and wiped his eyes.
"Yes. Yes you did. Goodbye Xephos. Until next time" Sjin said walking towards the Chili Wowa Tower.
