Chapter 4 - Boyfriend Things

It would have been awkward after the agreement they had.  Two straight boys, agreeing to act like boyfriends, as part of preparation for their roles.  It is the perfect setting for an uncomfortable situation.  But surprisingly, it was not.  It was as natural as if it is meant to be.  For Bright, who has always been very guarded and not entirely sociable, getting close to Win felt very organic.  The instances where he felt he needed to guide and protect Win as his nong was natural, as natural can be.  Almost like instinct.  Win's energy invigorates him.  Win's aura calms him.  They are the perfect complement for one another.  Win likewise never felt uncomfortable.  Yes, he likes joking around and pulling lame pranks on his P, but it is only because he likes seeing him laugh.  That melodious sing song like peels of laughter that comes from his P whenever he successfully pulls a joke revitalizes him.  His P's calm demeanor is also the cold water to his manic energy.   Its almost instinctive whenever he feels Bright is thinking he is going overboard. Just a look, a furrowing of the brows and he knows.  He feels it.  Even the physical touches.  Fleeting it as maybe but the touching of shoulders, the light elbow brush, it was never awkward.  It came very natural to the two of them.

It maybe because they both think the same way.  The way they approached this setup,  even though not agreed between the two of them has been the same.  Subtle and low key.  No overt actions, no over reacting gazing and un necessary touching.  No grand gestures. Just normal bro like deeds with the underlying meaning known, only to the two of them.  In their minds they know each word, smile, gaze, action is laced with warmth and care.  In their minds, they are boyfriends even if its only a fake setup.

Today is an important day for GMMTV.  Win and Bright were invited for an activity together with all of the other actors for GMMTV.  Tay, Lee, and a lot other actors will be there.  It's an activity that will be held outside and will culminate with a photo shoot with all of them lined up in a stadium like setting.  All of them were asked to wear green.

"P'Bright, I think it's going to rain.  The sky is a bit gloomy."  Win said as they were walking outside on the way to the site of the event.

"Yeah, don't tell me you are afraid of a little rain."

"What no?  Me afraid? I just don't like my hair to get messed-up.  You know, i woke up early today to tame this."

Bright reached to pat his head.  "You and your priorities."

"Hey watch it.  Told you not to mess it up." Win pouts as he arranges his hair after Bright touched his head. 

*Thunder rumbles*  Then rain fell, slowly  and very light at first, then it became stronger each second.

"It's raining already P, my hair."   Win looked genuinely worried.

"Come here.  Scooch up to me." Bright called Win.

Win looked at his side to see Bright using his jacket as an umbrella to cover the both of them.

This close to Win, Bright can smell his perfume and the faint smell of his shampoo.  From this close he can feel his shoulders on his chest.  He felt his cheeks become red.  Good thing Win can't see him right now.  Who knows what lame joke his Nong will say to him about this.  Because he is extending his jacket to cover for the both of them, he can feel his lower back getting wet from the rain. But he does not care.  As long as Win is protected, it is worth it.  Looking around he sees they are the only ones trying to protect themselves from the rain.  They are the only ones scooched this close together.  Should he tell Win? But his hair.  More importantly, he likes being this close to him,  his scent and the warmth emanating from his body makes him feel comfortable.  It's like that Sunday morning feeling when you wake up and you know you do not need to get up and prepare for work.  That home like familiarity.  He gets that from Win.  He likes it.
