Chapter 25

Luna's POV

Getting into the truck was a strange feeling but a soon as dad got in beside me it just felt right like I was already home.

And for the first time in ages a genuine smile was on my face, I was so happy.

We started making our way home, no words where said the only sounds we could here where the tyres on the gravel and the sounds of Rosita stumbling in the back of the truck, suddenly I felt a warm hand on my knee.

" it's so nice to finally have you back Lu" dad said gruffly, I turned in my seat to fave him and smiled gently.

" I'm honestly so happy to be back with you, I've missed you old man" I replied with a chuckle, he just shook his head.

Rosita started kicking the back of the truck and screaming which resulted in dad slamming on the breaks and we heard Rosita fall.

" will you shut the fuck up back there no one cares" dad shouted.

He turned to me with a sad look on his face, " I'm so sorry I didn't get to you sooner Lu, honestly I tried I just couldn't work out where they were hiding you" he said whilst turning back to the road sadly.

I just grabbed his hand and drew circles on it with my thumb.

" I'm not mad dad honestly you got to me just on time I don't know how much longer I would have lasted there" I said sadly.

It was silent for a good 20 minutes before he spoke again.

" right I fully understand if you don't wanna talk about it, I just don't get how you survived all of those beatings and obviously being starved, it breaks my heart to see you in this state sweetheart" he said clutching my hand.

" you wanna know how I survived all that" he just nodded, " I survived all that because I have a badass dad who taught me to never back down from anything and to carry on no matter what happens, a dad that taught me that the fight instinct is better then the flight instinct and the fact that I knew my dad who is my hero would come and save me one day and he did and I could never be more grateful for you" I Finished with tears in my eyes.

I realised when I looked at him that my big badass dad had tears running down his face, I haven't seen him cry for years.

" I love you daddy" I said with a sweet smile .

" I love you too princess" he replied.

We fell into a comfortable silence the rest of the way back, I was so happy when I could finally see the looming factory ahead.

Once we pulled into the gates the excitement of being home hit me again, honestly I have missed this place so much, aswell as everyone who lived here not that I got along with every single one of them but they had all Warner my respect.

Dad cut off the truck engine and looked at me with the biggest smile and got out of the truck, I followed and got out aswell.

As soon as my feet hit the ground I was pulled into my dads strong hold.

" welcome home Luna"

I couldn't help but smile it was so good to be back.

So this is the end of this story I know it has taken me so long to complete I'm not that good of a writer but I hope you guys enjoyed the story anyway I don't know what I'm going to do next.
