The Day I Met Him (Reddie love story)

"1 2 1 2 3 4" just like that they began playing there the first song of the night, bottom by McCafferty (song attached) "hey man I miss your collar bones, I miss the way your skin feels on my collar bones~" scanning the room for a certain boy.

A smile crept on his face once he saw a small boy in overalls sitting at a table to the left of the stage. being there, with his friends, it always seemed natural to Richie, he loved all eyes on him, but most of all he loved the songs, the music and the energy in the room when they played together,

they truly were compatible. they worked great together even though they bicker often they never ever held grudges and they were honestly were the greatest friends. Richie met Stanley in middle school, he accidentally ran into him causing stan to fall in the trash can behind him, lovely right?

Richie met Beverly when she moved here, in high school. they had almost all classes together and they would smoke together behind the school at lunch. they all just clicked. when the song finished there was clapping and a couple of whistles and whoops.

they played a couple of songs after that. they began to pack up, well stan and Bev did, Richie jumped off stage "Richie!" he turned to Beverly and nodded to the small boy who wasn't paying attention. she raised her eyebrow, smiled, and winked.

Richie turned back around sitting next to the boy getting his attention. "hey eds, glad you came" Eddie rolled his eyes "what did you think" Eddie smiled "amazing, you guys are naturals" Richie laughed "you mean I carry them" 

Eddie rolled his eyes once more. Richie grabbed his hand pulling him up to the backstage where Beverly and Stanley were talking. "hey losers, this is Eddie" he slowly let go of his hand, he didn't wanna be weird. "im Beverly" "im Stanley" Eddie nodded, getting shy all of a sudden, how adorable Richie thought.

the owner busted into the room "Richie, Beverly and Stanley that was fantastic! almost makes up for Richie being late" Richie laughed awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "when we playing again, boss man" Richie smiled.

the owner stood for a moment thinking, "the day after tomorrow" "you've got it" Richie stuck out finger guns again. stan pulled richies hand down "you're an idiot" Richie threw his guitar and case over his shoulders. "come on, eds" he walked out onto the sidewalk outside the bar

"I should be heading home, I enjoyed your music, maybe ill come another time" Richie smirked, "can't get enough of me can ya now baby" Eddie shoved richies shoulder. "don't be dumb and if you ever call me that again you're getting kicked in the balls"

Richie sucked in some air "ok, ok sorry" he laughed, Eddie joining in soon enough. "I should-" "yeah yeah I get it, see you next time, eds," Richie said with a wink, his mouth making a 'tsk' sound as he does so.

Richie pushed off his bike, biking to his house. "for fuck sake Richie!" said a panicked Beverly "you're supposed to talk to me!" she sighed "fucknut" she hopped on her own bike biking after him. 

Beverly knocked on richies window, he opened it letting her inside "who was that? he's cute!!" she smiled showing her dimples. "yeah he's pretty cute" Beverly scoffed "really? that's all I get?" Richie flopped on his bed and Beverly laid beside him.

"got a cigarette" she pulled a packet out putting one in her mouth and handing another to Richie. she lit her own passing the lighter to Richie. "you know rich" she took a long drag "I wouldn't care if you were gay"

Richie nodded taking a puff of his own. "I don't know Bev, I haven't felt this way before" she giggled, "what?" Richie said sitting back up, Bev following. "your so in love with this boy" "don't be stupid I just met him" Beverly shrugged her shoulders. "I guess you never know, love at first sight? at first insult? who knows with you" they both laughed. good times like these are what made Richie content.
