Chapter 4

~Shayla

"Look this way baby.", I head Jeremiah say as I looked off the balcony at his place. I looked he had his phone up so I posed.

"Damn you so beautiful baby.", he said looking at his phone. I smiled. He been treating me like a queen for the past few days, every since I left the hospital. I can tel he's really sorry, I mean why do everything he been doing if he's not sorry?

He came and stood behind me with his arms wrapped around me. He started kissing my neck. "Don't start, you said we had plans right?", I asked turning and looking at him.

"Yes. We shop today, pack, then leave tonight. I got a cabin for us for the weekend.", he said. I smiled.

"Okay, I'm down."

"It's a catch though."

"What's that?", I asked.

"You gotta do somethin for me.", he said.

"What?"

"Wear this necklace for me." He pulled a necklace from his back. It's gold and got JLS on there. "Just until you get my last name." When he said that my heart melted.

"Aww baby.", I said hugging him.

I saw Shayla look somewhere then her whole mood changed. She don't even wanna talk to me or be by me. I looked where she looked and saw a girl looking at me. She waved as she bit her lip. I pulled Shayla to me and give her the freakiest kiss while gripping that ass. The girl bumped me as she walked past. "Did that bitch just push you?", Shayla asked. She looked behind me. "Bitch did you just push him?", she asked pushing past me before I could say anything.

"Yeah and I'll do it again.", she said. They started arguing.

"Big Baby you bigger than a Escalade! Yeah I know who you are! I'll take your man cause you ain't shit! Why you think yo momma offed herself?!" Shayla started attacking her. The girl is screaming but I'm letting her. She shouldn't have said that shit. I didn't even know though.

This dude tried grabbing Shayla so I pushed him and I grabbed her. "Let me go! Let me go!", she yelled tryna get loose. She got loose then went and knocked the girl down while she was walking away. She did that Starkisha move. Like you heard that shit. My mouth dropped. I hurried and grabbed Shayla purse then threw her over my shoulder and left before the police could get there.  She keeps moving but she not getting out of my grip. Yes, she is a plus size queen but I can handle every inch of her and I will.

When we made it to the car I put her down. She calmed down by then. She's still upset. "You good momma?", I asked. She didn't say anything she just leaned on the car and looked down with her arms crossed. I saw a tear drop. I moved her arms and held her. She broke down.

When she got together we left. I'm sure she ain't in a shopping mood so imma take her to this spot I go to when shit gets hard.

I looked at her then back at the road. She's sleep. We're here so I gotta wake her.

I woke her up after I rolled a backwood. We got out and walked to a rock. "Hold this let me grab something real quick.", I said handing her my phone and the backwood and the lighter. I went and grabbed the thick blanket out my trunk. I laid it on the rock we were sharing then we sat down. I lit it up. "You alright?", I asked.

"Yeah. I know my mom didn't kill herself cause of me. She was just tired.", she said. "I wish she wasn't so tired though.", she said. I hugged her.

"At least she doesn't have to be tired or in pain anymore. Continue being good and I know you'll see her again." She looked at me and smiled half way. She got comfortable in my arms and relaxed as I smoked.
