Lucy's POV
"Lucy, ready or not here I come!" Hakuyuu called out throughout the castle halls. I giggled from my hiding place under the table of his fathers study. Seeing his feet walking around the room I scoot back to hide under the large chair in the study. His feet stop on the other side of the desk and he bends down we lock eyes and he smiles brightly at me saying. "I found you!" I try and run away but he just picks me up and I couldn't stop laughing. "Now do you really think you could get away from me?" He asked as he tapped my nose.
"That's not fair Haku! Your twelve and I'm only five!" I exclaim as I pout with my arms crossed.
"No it's not. But you both are so adorable." Gyokuen said as her and momma were talking.
"Aww you both look good together." Momma said as she fanned over Haku and I.
I looked up to the two beautiful women with Gyoku holding a one year old Hakuei. "Momma, I wanna be like you and daddy with Haku." I proclaimed as I happily wrap my arms around Haku.
The two women look at each other and giggle with a knowing look before turning to the two of us. "You both were meant to be together since you were born." Momma said as she tucks a lock of hair behind my ear.
"That's right, you both balance each other out perfectly, anyone else would not compliment you both in the best ways." Gyokuen said as she rubbed the top of Haku's head.
"Haku I never want to be with anyone besides you!" I said as I look into his eyes with a hopeful look on my face.
He smiles softly at me while saying. "I won't ever leave you."
"Is that a promise?" I ask innocently which he nods to.
Momma giggles before she rests her hand in my head making me both of us look up at her. "Hakuyuu, you know that Lucy will keep you to that promise."
Haku straightens his posture before setting me on my feet. "I would never break that promise My Lady Queen."
I grab Haku's hand before we walk with our mothers to see the three powerful men, my father Jude Heartfilia the king of Fiore, Hakuyuu, Hakuren, and Hakuei's father Hakutoku Ren the emperor, Hakuren Hakuyuu's younger brother, and Koutoku Ren the Emperor's brother and if his heirs die would be the next emperor.
My eyes overflow like a waterfall watching the glossed over wooden casket be lowered into the whole in the ground. "Lucy come here, I can only guess how much it would traumatize you to have your mother die in your arms." Haku said as he held me close. "But you have to remember the good memories and live on for those that couldn't."
I gaze into his blue eyes with my own blue eyes watery eyes. "Haku! Promise me again! Promise you won't ever leave me!" I pleaded with him for some light in my now blackened world.
"Lucy." He said as he wiped the tears from my face. "I would promise a thousand times over if it meant I could keep you with me."
"Thank you Haku." I plant a thank you kiss on his cheek before hugging his chest and crying all the grief out of my system not noticing the prying eyes of Kouen Ren. "It's not fair for me to loose her this early! I'm only seven, and your fourteen."
Standing on my feet I hold my hands over my mouth as the tears flow freely from my eyes. Seeing the three caskets of Hakutoku, Hakuyuu, and Hakuren. Feeling a hand land it's way onto my shoulder I look to see Kouen Ren, Hakuyuu's cousin. "I am sorry for your loss, I think your the one that's hurting the most because you were supposed to be betrothed to him."
