"My parents have been arguing for the past year already. Day in day out. See, I used to live in Massachusetts and even had this amazing life planned out for myself. I would go to MIT, study engineering, and then start my own business. Mom has other plans. She wants to be famous, she wants to be a model, she wants to be in the center of attention. In truth, she's just an accountant with Histrionic personality disorder, which simply means that she has a disorder that causes her to be attention-seeking. My dad, being the Russian that he is, isn't exactly accepted in society, so life's pretty rough on us. We're always moving, and I never really get to have permanent friends. It's simply depressing."
Gathering all the courage I have, I say, "chill, it's all g"

"I-I mean...dodon't worry about it; Life may be bad now, but give it some time, it'll get better. I'll always be here for you! If you ever need a friend, a shoulder to cry on, someone to hug, I'm here for you. We may not be dating, we may not like each other, but we're friends, right? And that's what friends do, they stand up for each other, and be there when we need it."
She smiled at me.
Then lied on my shoulder.
"Play something from Netflix. Anything. Please, Jason?"
How could I say no to that?
