Prince of the Sea

THIRD POV

"Lord Poseidon please calm down" one of the sea creatures said.

"Calm down! Calm down! How can i calm down when my wife is in there giving birth to our first born child"

"Relax Amphitrite will be fine"

The doctors bursted out of the room to inform poseidon of the current state of the situation, but before they could even open their mouths he ran past them. Anyone in the ocean could hear the King yelling "its a boy. its a boy."

The king gentley held the precious child in his arms and was in the verge of crying at the sight of his son. he walked over to his wife and stated the words right in front of her. "We shall name him Perseus. He will be the heir to my throne. this boy will be destined for many great things and will be the greatest hero of all time."

The royals held a celebration in the name of their newborn prince. Poseidon held the baby boy as high he could as he walked to the edge of the balcony and announced his as the prince of the ocean. Every living sea creature gathered around Atlantis and cheered for their prince. The celebration lasted days...weeks even.

7 yrs later
The King had ordered his son to be trained to become the best hero he could be. He recruited the best warriors and trainers he could find and forced them to train his son. he was trained in hunting, survival, stamina, strategy, ability, strength, and weaponry. Perseus hadn't disappoint his father. Just with a 7 months of training he was able to defeat the commanders of Poseidon's army. Poseidon, wanting to prove Athena wrong and didn't want his boy to grow up to be what the wise goddess called 'stupid'. He hired a tutor to teach Perseus the history of the gods, their ruling, and other common school subjects including several different languages. At first he wasn't to excited about learning but learned to like- well like maybe too strong of a word so lets just say tolerate, yeah- he learned to tolerate learning. But math on the other hand was a different story. It was never and never will be his favorite subject. Even when he was able to understand and answer and algebraic or geometry(and so on) questions faster than you can say 'prince of ocean' it still proved to be a difficult and long process to get there.

5 yrs later
By the age of 10 Perseus had already master all the weapons even if archery took a bit longer than anticipated. And by the age of 12 he had already learned knowledge of a pre-k student to a college student. He might have accomplished this but was not easy. there was a lot of time and effort put into the prince's studies. His teachers even thought of giving up saying it was no use. Some even complained to Poseidon and insulted Perseus...lets just say it didn't end well... i mean who in their right mind would insult the king of the ocean's child in front of his face. To poseidon they were easily thrown away as easy they were recruited.

How dare they insult his son, his pride and joy. The king knew his son was more than capable of handling himself but he couldn't help but be overprotective. He would destroy anyone posed to be a threat to the child.
He loved his son very much. He would always be his favorite child. To him Perseus was the child he always wanted. So if something were to happen to Percy he surely didn't know what he would do.

Years past and Perseus had already accomplished a great deal of many things. He even did the 12 labors of hercules more than once. He was even greatly known in Olympus. They even gave him some titles such as the Champion, the Savior, and so on. But him being Perseus he barley even acknowledges his accomplishments. It's probably because he was stupid or probably just simply the because of the fact that he didn't want it to be acknowledged. Perhaps it wasn't in his nature for his personality to be cocky and arrogant. Perseus was known for his modesty. He was greatly admired by others. And he would always do things for the sake of other rarely for himself.

The prince of the ocean was now 18 years old.
"Perseus"
"Dad how many times do i have to tell you its percy. P-e-r-c-y. percy" the young prince corrected
Poseidon just rolled his eyes at this. " yeah yeah whatever. Just get ready Zeus wants you at the council meeting today and were leaving in 5 minutes."
"What does uncle Z want"
"Uncle Z?"
"Yeah he doesn't mind me calling him that"
"You two have gotten close"
"Yeah by the way can i go hunting with Uncle Z and Uncle Hade(nickname) on Saturday? And you still haven't answered my question."
"Fine and i don't know. and hurry up now we're leaving in 3 minutes."
"K just let me say bye to mom and baby triton (A/n: His brother Triton was born when he was 16 ears old)" he said running to the royal bed chambers.
"Hurry!" Shouted Poseidon.
