Chapter 2: Upsetting News

I responded back to Mark asking what he was doing. He said that he was messaging his girlfriend back from New Jersey where he was originally from, he said that's why it took him so long to answer. After reading that message my heart stopped. I couldn't believe that he had a girlfriend. Not that I've ever had anyone flirting with me but when he came up to me at lunch I was 100% sure he was flirting with me. Now I'm not even sure why he came up to me or gave me his instant msg. Maybe he just wanted to be friends, but with me of all people? While I was thinking Mark must have sent me 5 messages saying "hello?!?"
I forgot that they could see when you read the message they sent. He said that he was sorry he didn't tell me before and that he hoped I didn't think of him as anything more then a friend. It's all right though. It was just a stupid 1 day crush. I answered Mark and said,
"Hahah it's fine and I didn't answer because I was doing homework",
Which was kind of true since I had a ton to do tonight. I said I would msg him later and I closed out of the program and went into my room. I have a small room. I have bunk beds and 1 normal bed. I share my room with my older sister who is 1 grade above me (we would've been in the same grade but I was born late August so I missed the cut off date) and my little sister who is in 6th grade. My older sister has the bed "because she's older" and I have button bunk. Our room is white because paint it expensive and we don't have the money and we have 2 dressers that my dad made a couple years ago and 1 tall bookshelf that he also made that we hold our journals and books (more like my books because I love reading). We don't make a lot of money since my mom just got laid off her job and my dad is just a sales person working at the te soap store in the mall. Good thing about this is that we get free soap.
