Jasper convinces Will to come back and enjoy himself. They strangely get along and reminisce, while heading to class. "And remember when you broke my mom's vase!?"
"H-holy crap! Haha! I remember that!" They all laughed and then Tanem came up with an idea. "Yo! Why dont we hold a party to help this pipsqueeks rep?" Tanem threw his arm over Will's shoulder and ruffled his already messy hair. "How 'bout it?" Tanem gave a grin. Will chuckles and smiles, even though the nickname was quite uncomfortable to hear."S-sure." Tanem seemed different from what Will would have thought. Of course, His parents were rich and he had a reputation for being a delinquent, but he seemed genuinely friendly. He had expected something more ruthless, considering he was friends with Marc aswell, but no. He couldnt help but feel confused near him. "Great! 8:30 at my place then?" They all agreed and headed to their classes. The rest of the day had went by in almost a flash and everyone was heading home. Will was outside the school building, heading home, when he saw Jasper.
"Hey Jasper!" He yelled out, as he began to run over to him. Jasper turned around and saw Will waving frantically and running. "Y-yeah?" Once Will had gotten to Jasper he bent down and tried to catch his breath. "Do you *huff* plan on *huff* going to the party, for real?" Jasper blushed a bit and put his hands behind his head and he began to walk again. Will folowing after. "Well~ If ya want me to go, ill go. But meh, Honestly Sure, I have nothing better to do." Will smiled. "Oh ok." Jasper chuckled and looked at the sky. The sun was bright and just walking with Will seemed nice.
Wait... why were they walking together? "Hey, is that all you wanted to ask?"
Will grew hot in the face. "Oh! N-no! I mean- yes? Wait- ugh!" He scratched his head, a bit flustered. Was that really it? Was that all he came for? Maybe there was something else and he just totally forgot in the moment. While he thought all of this, all he was saying to Jasper was "uhhhhhhhhh." Jasper laughs and speeds up a bit, to get home. "Hey! If ya wanted to spend time with me, you could have just asked!" He yelled as he waved goodbye. Will stops in his tracks, turning a bright shade of red. Will snapped out of it, after awhile, heading home himself, not wanting his mom to worry.8:30pm...
Will walks downstairs, with his phone in hand, ready to walk out the door. "And where do you think your going?" "U-uh. To a friends place, mom. Ill be back soon, I promise." She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. "Without even something as simple as a goddbye!? How crazy are you?" Of course, his mom had a flair for the dramatics. She pulled him in for a hug and swang him back and forth. "J-jesus. Ok, bye. I love you, too." Will pushed out of her grip and rushed out of the door with laughter.Jasper had texted him the address, surprisingly not too far. He felt a pit in his stomach, slowing down. "W-what if this is a bad idea? I-is this... a bad idea?" He bit his thumbnail and decided to think about his decision. What would Jasper think if he just ditched? What would Tanem think? He would probably beat him to bits. He stared at his phone and then texted Jasper, hesitant at first.
"Hey."
"Hey! What up?"
"Uhhh. I... im having second thoughts..."
"How come?"
"I... I dont think things will go well. Maybe, its a trap? What if I make a mistake. What if I do something worse than before and more rumors spread. What if Im... just gonna be a screwup? As always."
"..."
As Jasper texted back, Will began to pace as he thought of every way something could go wrong. He was determined to go... but not to go at the same time. He sighed and waited for a response.
"Bro. Its fine if you dont wanna go. Noone is forcing you to come but the party is for you, after all. The whole point is for, not only to boost your rep, but to also have a fun time. Its a party. So... either get your butt over here and have fun or sit at home, dwelling on all the rumors and bothersome things that bother you. Your choice."
"Im here for you."
Will gave a slight smile and a warm feeling in his heart replaced the anxiety he was feeling. Jasper was right. He was supposed to have fun, thats what a party is for. He wanted this... no, he needed this. He had been feeling down for awhile, but when he met Jasper, all the sad feelings turned to happy ones. Marc was a person who didnt deserve his time of day. "Yeah." He said to himself. He shoved his phone in his pocket and headed to the party. Finally, something new awaited him, and he couldnt wait.
