My eyes drifted to you
"Perfection," was my first thought
And since that day, my heart flew
I've always wanted to say how grand my love was
But it was impossible to find the right words,
Right to say to you.
A glance was all it took, for my mouth to utter not a love confession but a jumble mess
One full of uhhh and errs
But all I wanted was to be someone in this world, in yours, in hers...
I ran away,
Face full of humiliation and worry
"What would you think of me now?",
I've always wondered.
I thought of ways to fix it but even in my dreams, you were never mine
Because while you would gracefully bow,
My mind was rampaging, questioning myself, "Why and how?!"
Your smile gave me another chance,
Encouraged me to not to be afraid.
I took a step....and another and a third
And there you were
Standing tall, with your head held high
I got lost in my thoughts about your perfections and beauty.
"Snap out of it!",
A little voice in my heart told me
And I spoke
With courage, with hope
"You're my life, my world, my everything.
More expensive than a pearl.
I knew you were the one since the first day.
Love at first sight? I never believed that.
But after you came into view,
I knew.
The belief was true.
Every part of you, from head to toe, was perfection with an extra purrr.
I tried telling you but every time I met your eyes full of wonder,
all you heard was just a murmur.
I don't wanna waste your time. So I'll end this with only a few more words.
I love you and it'll be okay if you don't love me back.
But you'd make me the happiest person ever if you tell me,
"I love you too."
Now, here is my finish.
