"Keep up, Emmy!" The blue eyed beauty yelled while sprinting towards the water's edge with his wet suit zipped up tight and board under arm.

She smirked then pushed her legs harder out running the boy. Emerson hopped on her board and started paddling away leaving him standing in the crashing waves with his jaw practically hitting the sand.

"Keep up, DJ!" She mocked while he laughed and jumped onto his board paddling after the brown eyed girl.

They were soon in-sync, their arms cutting against the water as the head towards the sand bar where the waves were rolling perfectly towards the beach, mist flying every which way.

"Perfect." She sighed feeling as though she found the perfect spot to catch the perfect wave with the most perfect boy.

Daniel came up next to her and sat up. They straddled their boards as their eyes remained trained on the horizon.

"Perfect." He whispered reaching out and linking their pinkies together.

She smiled at him feeling her heart drop out of her chest and land in the underworld when he returned his gorgeous grin.

"Look." She nodded at a wave that started to roll towards the duo.

He looked at her confused, "That's not gonna break, Em."

She looked at him at smirked, "Oh, really?"

Emerson started paddling using all her strength and the momentum of the moving water. The salt sprayed at her warm face as she picked up speed.

Once she felt that familiar feeling of dropping over the falls she pushed herself to her feet and started to carve the face of the wave as the water rolled around her board.

Daniel watched his pretty girl in excitement. He was still so proud to call her is, the way she wouldn't let anyone stop her is something that he will never, ever stop admiring.

Emerson rode the wave in and a few minutes later paddled back out the the fake blonde. "And you were telling me it wouldn't break."

He shook his head sighing playfully, "Mhmm I was wrong, I admit it." They laughed. "That was so impressive though, like damn girl. You gotta teach me to surf like that, Paige."

The couple surfed for a few more hours laughing at each other when they fell or a dumb joke was slipped into the conversation. Daniel felt good, laughter was definitely the best medicine.

Back in their room after hours surfing in the salty sea the blond humans and fluffy dogs were all curled up on the small bed as Emerson attempted to make little braids in Daniel's hair that was getting pretty long.

"Let's do something, DJ." The girl spoke against the quiet atmosphere as she trailed her hands along Daniel's neck and shoulders making him melt in her lap.
