A spark in the sky twinkle as day reached noon. The spark in the sky slowly twisted and crinkled into a tear, a gapping hole for the loss spirits of the living realm to fall through. The ombre deep sky started to rip and crack as the portal opened. All the new wandering spirits are traveling in the passage behind the exit from the sky, progressing through all the rings of passage that stabilizes and developing new bodies for the new coming spirits. Zach's spirit is zipping through all the rings instantaneously and minutes after, a body plunges from the portal in the ombre sky and drops straight down into the forest terrain.

His unconscious body gets a gentle landing by a leaf strand puddled with rain dew. Splash! The giant leaf pad breaks all the acceleration from before and he snoozes in the kind cradle.

The sweet misty rain drips from the sky as Zach starts to regains consciousness. The air fills with the scent of a day on a strawberry farm when sun shining its glorious rays, and the cradling leaf starts to curl as the misty showering transitions to a heavy waterfall.

Zach opens his eyes, and is bewildered by his surroundings. Through the walls of the leaf he glimpse at the magnificent forest before his eyes. Flowers the size of cars are blooming and leaves cradling anything they can were all over the place. Trees and bushes of all sizes filled the space between the ground and sky. They were all so different and unique all on their own, one shaped like a pear, one with fire that never extinguish, and one covered in nooses. He looked down to see how high up he was, and all that was there was water. Water, the entire floor was part of an ocean. He panicked a bit and felt nauseous when he saw this, backed up a little and tried to find land to calm his nerves. I can't swim, what am I supposed to do? He squints his eyes as he tries to find land.

In the distance, a faint painting of a mountain flick a spark of hope in Zach's eyes, as he sighed at the fact that he might not accidently slip out of the leaf cradle and drown for the rest of eternity or go insane for the rest of eternity. Maybe I'm not going to suffer for forever, come on Zach, you have to be positive. Zach hopped into a comfortable position and shut his eyes close for a moment, waiting to sleep for the day so it can be over faster.

Am I still dead? Zach ask as he woke up to be disappointed that he was still floating in water. He tries to climb out of the leaf pad, but keeps on slipping due to the rain that dripped down the leaf stem. Come on Zach, He thought, You can do this. All you have to do is swim to the mountain and you'll be happy and see your mom and, ...that is just... too far away to swim to and I can't swim. Damn it. Just keep climbing this leaf and figure something out later.

This is tiring, he thought, maybe I'll just sleep a little more. He laid back down onto the leaf pad and stared up at the sky through the curves of the leaf. He gave a little sigh and wondered what more there is to the afterlife. I couldn't even climb out of a leaf, is this some sort of punishment? Why am I being treated this way? Maybe, maybe it's because I shouted at my mom that one time. She probably is also suffering in hell and it's my fault! It's all my fault! He kept imagining things and scenarios, his chest getting heavier each time, tears flooding his eyes, until he realized that he will never get to heaven and even though he was positive and kind, all that effort was only a waste.

Stop feeling hopeless Zach, you've been in hopeless situations before and they always turn out... worse. Shit. It's hopeless, I'm hopeless, I have nothing. I can't even see my mother here. She's gone. She's gone, she's gone, she doesn't love me, no one does, I'm a lonely piece of shit.

Soon, the rain water in the Zach was submerge in wasn't the only water that was there. His face was coated in tears, crying his eyes out from pity. He whimpered and shivered, wet and cold from the pool of water underneath him, wishing to meet his mom in the land of the dead, but he can't. He started to sobbed and heaved more and more into a mess, wasting away the rest of the day weeping back to slumber.

For the next two days, he sat in that very leaf pad sleeping away and occasionally glancing over his shoulder to check the scenery to see if it changed. The ombre sky was all he appreciated about the afterlife, the usually alterations of the sky vary from a vivid rainbow to a blazing fire to the most astonishing cyan clouds over a unilluminated bask of space. Even still, the sky wasn't enough for him to stop wishing he could die again so that he can at least feel the same peace and quiet he felt when he got hit over the head.

That was different from this, I was clueless and released from pain, even if I need to get hit again, I just want to die again.

I want to see my mother again.
